Chapter 19: Do you know what they do to guys like us in Prison

Start from the beginning

"Hey babe! How you doin'?" I asked cheerfully cuz hey, I was talking to my girl and I love her because she's so god damn perfect even if she doesn't seem to see it herself.

"Asher, it's Cherry. Bandit's cousin." A gentle voice came from the other end of the line.

"Oh, h-i- (i guess)" I stretched confused then mumbled the last part.

Then, I wasn't so happy anymore.

"Mom and dad had to take Bandit to the hospital! She blacked out and fell down the stairs." She explained with sadness in her words.

I held the phone with my hand now and moved it from in between my shoulder and head to now just by my ear.

"Oh God, oh God, F*ck! F*ck, F*ck, F*ck, F*CK! SHE OKAY? " I yelled down the phone in panic.

"I don't know Asher, I'm guessing no. Dad thinks she went up stares to throw up what she'd eaten and she came back to the stairs and passed out and fell."

"Oh F*ck!" (I was thinking about Patty Walters writing that) "I'm on my way over there right now! How long ago did they take her?" I said getting up out of my chair and grabbing my leather jacket.

"I don't know like 5 / 10 minutes ago." She sighed.

"K." I said and hung up, sliding my phone into my pocket and putting the jacket on as I strutted through the house to the front door. "Going out!" I yelled back to my parents and went outside to the drive where my bike sat; My Renegade Commando; 233cc motorcycle (picture at the top).

~~~
I parked it kinda in the car park and ran toward the reception main entrance.
"Bandit Lee Way!" I yelled slightly at the blonde who sat at the desk.
"Room 304. It's on the third floor." She smiled but you could easily tell she was in a pissy mood. I ran again off to the elevators. One had just closed while the other was on the 5th floor.
"F*ck!" I mutterd. Stairs. I ran to the door that was just at the side of the elevators and climbed up the flights of stairs until I reached the third floor like the woman said. I burst through the doors and ran along the corridors checking each room number for hers. When I finally reached it, I had to wait a couple seconds to try catch my breath and then go in. She was lying in between the white sheets of the hospital bed, a black tank top with only the top of the Greenday logo visible between the sheets with her long, dark hair twisted loosely over her shoulder and a bleeping machine to the side of her and a thin, clear tube running across her face under her nose and looping round each ear meeting by her chest. Her skin was paler then normal, like piece-of-paper pale.
"Hi Asher." A gentle voice from behind me said. I turned around to see who i remember slightly, Jamia. I smiled in reply to her and then half smiled at Frank, he did kinda freak me out before! They were sat on two chairs up against the wall opposite to the bed, beside the door. I noticed one more chair next to her bed so I walked over to it slowly and took a seat beside her.
Silence.
We stayed like that for what felt like a lifetime but in reality was like an hour or something . I held Bee's delicate hand in my own, rubbing the back of it in circles with my thumb. She was so cold. I could hear both Frank and Jamia whispering to eachother but I didn't mind. Eventually they kissed and Jamia left to go home which meant it was just Frank and I.
"Your parents know you're here?" He muttered slightly scratching the back of his neck with his hand. Cringy small talk - thanks.
"They know I went out." I mutterd back making eye contact and giving an awkward sort of smile.
"Oh. Yeah." He muttered again.
This is so awkward!
"D-does she eat, y'know around you or at school?" He began stumbling sort of but then just carried on no longer muttering.
"Not really. We try to get her to eat but, -y'know." I explained still her hand in mine.
"We? The guys that hang out at the bottom of the driveway in the mornings when you come get her?" He asked.
"Yeah, Doug is the taller one with the floppy kinda black hair and Seth, the one with longish blonde hair who's slightly smaller." I explained.
"Oh. Right." He started muttering again.
I gave my attention back to Bee or more like Bee's hand as i watched my thumb circle it. There was silence again for like two of the longest minutes in my entire life.
"Ladies still digging the lip ring I see." He smirked. Awkward!!!
I just gave a smile back and a little nod. This was his neice we were talking about! My eyes shifted back to her, admiring her beauty and how peaceful she was when she slept. My eyes ran down and my heart sank as they traced down her shoulder and along her arm to her wrist.
F*ck!
I saw them all and it hurt like a b*tch to see.
