I woke up but I couldn't open my eyes, or maybe they were open and I just couldn't see, all there was was black . My body was pierced with a shocking pain. I felt as if a million burning needles were shoved through my body all in that moment. I couldn't move.
I wanted to scream but it was like an air bubble sat in my throats thickly blocking my pathway of speech. It was all so unclear. What had happened? I was so cold. A flash of life before my eyes threw me into panic.
A loud car horn and screeching rubber. I heard thick glass shatter in my ears piercing life itself. I heard.. my mothers scream... oh god. It all flooded back.
It was a drunkin crash of two forces. Me and my mom had been sitting in the car singing that stupid michael Jackson song that I had loved when I was six. Mom never let go of that memory I guess.
Then... there was the head lights and the shattered windshield. I was flung to the pavement... and mom... no. Where was I?
Just then a boy with shaggy black hair and a thin pale looks came into my vision as it blurred. My sight was coming back. The boy was covered head to toe with cuts. Only his face left unharmed. My ears popped and all I could hear was the buzzing of the fluorescent light. I couldn't speak. The pain made my body jolt. All my bones were breaking at once.
"Don't move." The boy whispered, "the tower will only make it worse if you move."
I was so confused. What Tower? What the hell was happening. Why can't I move. Just then the pain eased to a dull sting.
"Fresh meat?" Asked a girl who hung by her legs from a ceiling beam above my head.
"Nora let him settle before you start observing him. So this is the new roommate of yours?" A girl with purple hair and a noose around her neck asked without looking at me.
"Where's his suicide mark?" The girl with pink and blue hair asked hopping down from the ceiling beam.
"I don't see one..." the shaggy hair boy shrugged.
"Suicide mark?" I chime in forcing my vocal chords to painfully form words.
"Shut up, speaking this early will break your voice for days." The purple haired girl shot at me with words like knives. I silenced myself. The girl sat at my side, "we will explain if you just don't move or speak."
The cold concrete room sent painful shivers down my spine as I looked into the cool blue eyes of the girl. She quickly broke eye contact as if not wanting to look me in the eyes. I wondered why.
"A suicide mark is the mark of your suicide forever pierced on your body." The girl explained.
"Mine are cuts," the boy added to her explanation.
"Oh I have a pill!" The strange girl threw herself into the conversation.
She stuck her tongue out at me revealing a white pill stuck to her pink flesh. She smiled at me.
"Nora calm down." The boy added. The crazy girl Nora ran over to the shaggy boy.
"Oh billy you love me!" She said hugging his cut up arm teasing him. He looked at her will dull eyes and then proceeded to ignore her as if he were used to it.
"This is the suicide tower. You are only put here after committing suicide." Billy said dully.
"So where is your suicide mark?" Nora asked as if it were a rhetorical question. I tried to stand up
"I- I" then felt my legs collapse as I fell onto Nora and my vision went black.
