Chapter 6

****Cookies Pov****

I got to Empire and went to Lucious's his office. He wasn't there so while I waited for him I looked around. I saw all of the awards he got over the years and all the accomplishments he's made. I also saw pictures of my babies from when they were little to being all grown up. I felt my eyes starting to sting because me thinking about how much of there life's I've missed hurt but I pushed it down because I didn't need Lucious to see me crying. Then I came across of a picture of him and another women, he looked happy. I mean I knew he was dating someone but she was just so ughhh, he could do way better than that but instead he chooses fake ass Halle Berry. But at the same time it hurt seeing him with another women, I mean I still love him and miss him but I guess I gotta get over that. Then I heard the office door open and I knew it was him I could feel his presence. He walked further into the office and said
"Ladies and Gentlemen the queen has returned."

****Lucious Pov****

🔹10 minutes before he walked in his office and saw cookie🔹

Becky came barging into the conference room in the middle of the board meeting .
"What is it Becky" I said
"Umm.... sir some lady named Cookie is claiming to be your ex wife is in your office waiting for you." She said. I looked at her in shock, I mean I knew cookie was out but I didn't expect her to come here so soon. While I was stuck in my thought everyone else in the room was waiting for my answer.
"Umm...sir..." Becky said snapping me out of my thoughts
"Ugh yeah... umm everyone were gonna have to pick this meeting up later" I said walking out is the room.
"Becky how long ago did she get here." I said
"Umm about 5 minutes ago sir." She said
"Alright well while I'm in there make sure KNOW ONE  especially Anika interrupting me I don't care what the emergency is , ok." I said
"Yes sir " she said.
I walked into my office and I saw cookie looking at a picture of me and Anika and my heart sank because I knew how much that probably hurt her or not because I did send her divorce papers in jail and left her there to rot but it's not like I did it to hurt her. I did it because I thought it would help me and her move on because the women I loved, love was locked up and I wouldn't see her for another 25 years but she got out early. The truth is I could never bring my self to I never actually went through with the divorce but she doesn't know that. But god I really did miss her.
"Ladies and gentlemen has returned" I managed to spit out and she turned around. God she's so beautiful only she can make me go weak in my knees . I swear she hasn't aged a day god help me.

****Cookies Pov****
I turned around and saw him.
"Wow, 17 years later, and you are still beautiful." He said then paused and looked at me for a second and said
"So, when did you get out"
"Two days ago." I said answering his question then said
You really ugh..." I said looking around his office at a loss of words but he knew what I meant and said
"It was your sacrifice that made a lot of this possible.
I can't imagine what you've been through, Cookie.
But you've got to know you're not the only one that suffered in this."after he said that I could feel myself getting angry
"You forgot about me the second you divorced me in there. You still owe me what's mine." I said
"What are you talking about?" He asked
"Half of this company.
It was my $400,000 that started this bitch.
You know it, and I know it.
I Did 17 hard years for that money, and I want half my company back." I said
"Ok Cookie I can see what I can do and I'll get back to you on that is that it." He said and to be honest I'm surprised because I thought he was gonna give some speech about why I can't have what's mine because he's a selfish bastard.
I also want a $5 million a year, and I want to be head of A&R."
"Ok I can give you the $5 million. But your gonna have to share the A&R position" he said.
"Why?" I asked half already knowing the answer I just wanted to hear him say it.
"I have someone." He said
"Is it little Halle Berry over here?" I asked and he didn't saying anything which confirmed my suspicion. "Fine whatever Lucious but I still want half my company back so don't expect me I forget about it and don't you dare give me a tiny ass office." I said
"Ok I got you baby" he said and I rolled my eyes
"Have you seen the boys" he asked
"Right when I got out the first thing I did was see Jamal and he got me set up and he got me a nice house. But that's about it because I had other thing to deal with yesterday." I said hiding that fact about Jeremiah and Skylar.
"Why?" I added
"Just wondering because I don't know how Hakeem's gonna react about being out because he never really knew you-(GFO)"
"And who's flat is that" I said cutting him off
"Yeah, I know and I'm sorry about that. Really." He said and I just rolled my eyes.
"Mmm hmm... yeah whatevea Lucious I gotta go and take care of some things" I said getting up from my seat and toward the other chair to get me purse and leave.
"What you gotta do" he said
I stopped turned around and faced him and said
"None of your god damn business anymore, remember you divorced me" I said
"About that coo-" he said but he got cut off by his hoe walking in and saying something about him needing to take of something.
"Hmm boo boo kitty" I said grabbing my purse and walking out leaving her there in shock.

****Lucious Pov****

Damn why did Ankia have to walk in I though I told Becky not to let anyone in especially her. I should've locked the damn door. I tried to agree and give cookie everything she wanted because she deserves it and I'm gonna try and work on getting her half of thing company or at least give her half of what I got. But while I was talking to her I could tell she was hiding something from me
and I'm gonna find out.
