In this piece of fiction, Kenji Johjima recalls his life as he works on his college essay. The essay prompt he is given is "describe your life."
What is the first thing he writes? "It's complicated."
Kenji is white, yet has a Japanese name, is gay, and like to dress femininely. To make matters even more complicated, his emotions are tied to the weather. Oh and did I mention his friends are cats? Specifically, one of his friends is a talking cat and the other is a girl that can turn into a cat. Last but not least, his likely straight crush is unnaturally gifted at soccer.
