Walking into Trey's house about ten minutes later, Trey laying on the couch. "What's up man?"
"That guy is at my house."
"What the hell? Why?"
"Evidently he's eating dinner there if I had to guess."
"Probably eating more than that."
"Shut the hell up dude."
"Sorry. You said they were friends right? Maybe they're just catching up?"
"No they dated before Shelby and I. They were engaged at one point."
"No shit. Maybe they just want to catch up. Being that close and all."
"K," is all Braden says.
"You wanna go out or something?"
"Yeah I need to quit thinking about this stuff."
"Awesome," Trey grins. "Same bar?" he asks, a bar they all used to frequent back in the day.
"Sure," Braden laughs. "Nostalgia."
"And girls," Trey smirks. "If she's gonna do it, you're going to do it."
"No I'm not," Braden laughs. "I'm not that kind of guy. I'm technically still married."
"Yeah but she crushed you. Crush her back. She's being a bitch. Those promises and vows are shot to shit."
They get to the bar, ordering some shorts and beers--enjoying themselves. They drink a good portion of the night, forgetting about all their problems.
