I woke up at eight in the morning since I have to meet my group-mates Tanya, Christian, Alexia and Joshua sa Starbucks malapit sa college. We have to do a presentation on Safety, Hygiene, and Sanitation in food handling. I decided to go there early to have my breakfast.

Gusto kong maayos namin eto. Hindi ko man siya nakikita but I could feel him.

I had waffles and black tea at Starbucks.

We talked for a while (more on chismis nila sa campus) when Christian arrived.

The moment we stepped out of starbucks, Josh parked his car in front of the coffee shop.

"Tara na" Josh said

We planned to go to his house in Makati since it was more convenient.

After half an hour drive we arrived at his house.

"Andito na tayo" Josh said

"Sa lolo ko pa 'to eh" sabi ni Josh

Joshua welcomed us and introduced us to his grandma and mom who were watching TV sa sala. I have brought my laptop with me just in case I would need to research on something but I don't think it was necessary since Josh prepared two laptops and books that we will be needing is already set on the table.

We divided our tasks which made everything easier, we did what we had to do. I finished my topic HACCP quicker than expected.. well, quicker than them.

"Meg, I need help" Tanya asked looking confused in front of her laptop screen

I sat beside her at tinulungan ko siya sa research.

"It's almost lunch time, lunch muna tayo?" Josh asked "Nakakagutom na kasi eh" he added

"Diyan tayo nagkakasundo, pare!

Naupo muna kami sa living room while Josh's mom and their maids prepared the dining table.

I stood up at tinignan yung paintings nila sa dingding pati narin yung pictures na nakadisplay.

A particular portrait caught my attention.

I was stunned with what I saw.

Joaquin Amador-Ibarra

Suddenly a flashback played in my mind.

1936

Joaquin Amador-Ibarra, twentyfour-year-old young man,  a soldier who was assigned in taal lake with his troop making sure that everyone will be aware. There was a rumoured volcanic eruption back then, rumor lang hindi naman nangyari.

He found me roaming around near my lake, I was singing.
