Once at school, we parted ways. Him headed towards the primarily junior section of the school and me heading towards the primarily senior side of the school. I went up to my locker and began to unload my book bag into it. I kept out my before lunch stuff, as well as the current book I was reading, since I would get the rest of it after lunch. My school was one of the bullshit schools that wouldn't let you carry a bag all day unless it was a small purse for girls, so I had to carry everything in my arms. Which, would be easy if I wasn't a petite girl constantly in fear of getting run over.

I closed my locker after putting my phone away in it, and was greeted by Xena's smiling face. She was the type of modelesque girl guys dreamed about. She was seven inches taller than me, which pissed me off, and slim and curvy in the right places. She had a round face with thin, slightly arched eyebrows, and big gold eyes. Her lips were thin but a pretty pink color. Her nose was slightly big, but it somehow fit how she looked. She was wearing light skinny jeans and a tight white tank top, and a small black purse for her extra stuff. Her ebony hair fell below her shoulders in soft waves.

We had been best friend since first grade, and just never let each other go. We knew everything about each other and was always there no matter who else wanted us. Even if she did grow up to be way prettier than me, I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. Though, she was a bitch sometimes.

"Morning Pixie." She greeted me in a chipper voice.

She held her books against her body with one arm, everything neat and tidy in her binders.

"Hey, Xena." I replied, holding my binders close.

We began the walk to our homeroom, her leading the way mostly so people would part so I wouldn't get run over.

"Ready for the traditional senior weekend?" She asked.

Every April the seniors got a Friday and a Monday off, just for an extra treat before exams began. My brother would be taking the days off too, to join me and Xena on our camping weekend.

"Hell yeah. A weekend in your parent's cabin, all to ourselves, is gonna be awesome before exams."

She nodded a bit, probably thinking the same as I was. Sadly, we still had today and tomorrow before Friday. Homeroom went by in a blur, Xena ditching me for a bit to talk to a few of her other friends. When the bell rang, me and her headed off to our first classes and didn't see each other again until lunch. All schools in the district knew to keep us out of the same class if they wanted to teacher to stay sane.

When the teacher dismissed us for lunch, I dropped my books off at my locker and headed to the cafeteria. I could see William sitting with his football buddies and he gave me a wave but didn't make an advance towards me as per usual. Wednesday was the only day we had lunch together, but he felt obligated to sit with his teammates.

I went through the line, grabbing a tray of what might be pizza, before finding mine and Xena's usual table and waited for her. She appeared about ten minutes later and took her seat next to me. She turned to me instantly and batted her eyes at me, so I knew what was coming.

"No."

"But, but, but Pixieeee."

"I'm not doing your math homework."

She just pouted at me, and I sighed. Realizing my defeat, she grinned and handed me the sheet and her pencil. I was the future valedictorian of our class, as well as the only student with an above four point oh grade point average. So of course, my friend and brother could always count on me to do the work they miss, and edit the work they did. That of course means I didn't always do their work. I wasn't that much of a push over.
