Chapter 11: Surprise

My freaking legs are killing me, I need to start working out, my stamina is crap. Teo gets finished and it's like he's done nothing but for me it's like I've ran a marathon. I also need to make a doctor's appointment for some birth control. I'm technically engaged and I don't need to add a kid to the mix. I can't believe I met his father, never would I have thought he'd show up today. Vampires really don't age because he's freaking hot. He's definitely a charmer, I'm sure he gets lots of women of any age. The door bell rings and I wipe my hands off before going to get it. Upon opening the door Giselle, Carmine, and the kids are there. I give them each a hug as they walk in.

"Teo is around somewhere, I'm still cooking" I say shutting the door.

"Do you need help with something?" Giselle asks.

"No, I'm fine." I make my way back to the kitchen with her following me. I wash my hands before going back to cooking. I can't help but to feel domesticated, here I am engaged and cooking for my man and family. On some level I kind of like it but on the other hand I feel too young to be so settled. I feel like I should be out partying and having random one night stands like regular people my age. Though I hate everything about the party scene.

"Are you okay?" Giselle asks snapping me out my thoughts.

I turn to face her, "yeah why?"

She grins, "you're limping a lot."

I groan, "shut up." The doorbell rings and before I can move she's out the kitchen. Teo walks in the kitchen hugging me from behind, he's seriously  a giant compared to me. He kisses the back of my neck softly.

"It smells great" he states pushing his erection into my lower back.

I lean back looking up at him, "are you always horny?"

"Around you? Constantly."

I roll my eyes and he slaps my but painfully. "That hurts you know."

He smirks, "I know." He places a gentle kiss on my lips before walking out the kitchen. Jas and Rea walk in with Giselle sitting at the bar.

"Hey guys" I say.

"Hey, who is the sexy man walking around?" Jas asks.

I look at her confused, "who? Teo's father?"

"That's his father?" she asks shocked. "He looks like his twin."

"Are you calling my man sexy?"

She rolls her eyes, "don't be stupid Zay, we all know Matteo is fine as fuck."

I giggle, "he's okay."

She scoffs, "whatever."

"Do you need us to do something?" Rea asks.

"Uh can you guys set up the table. I'm almost done." They walk out the kitchen with plates and such. Giselle grabs beverages from the fridge before following Rea and Jas out the kitchen. She's the only pregnant person I've met that likes to constantly be on the move. I take the stir fry and the alfredo to the dining room placing it on the table. Next I grab the salad putting it on the table and all that's left is the steak and potatoes which shouldn't be much longer. I hear Giselle telling Eva Rose and Junior to wash up. I take the potatoes out and place them on the table. Everyone is already sitting down so I go back and grab the pan of steaks. I place it on the table before taking my seat next to Teo. We all start passing the food around.

"Are you single?" Jasmine asks eyeing Vincent breaking the silence that was formed.

"Jasmine!" Rea and I yell.

Vincent smirks as she shrugs still staring at him. "Yes I am darling."

"Father" Teo warns.

Vincent winks at Jas before turning to look at me. "My son tells me you're in school. What school and what's your major?"

"NYU and I'm a double major, psychology and international business."

He nods, "smart girl, speak any languages?"

"Fluent in French and Spanish but I'm currently learning Italian."

He grins, "well you're just a triple threat. You're gorgeous, smart, and a damn good cook."

I smile, "thank you."

"I told you she was bad!" Gio adds shaking his head. "T gets all the good luck."

"Shut the hell up" Teo growls annoyed.

I resist the urge to laugh. "May I ask why you're not working for my son?" Vincent asks.

"I have a job already plus I don't think it'd do our relationship well to mix business with pleasure."

"Where do you work?"

I swallow my food. "I'm James Coletti's personal assistant."

He grunts, "that piece of shit." He turns to Teo, "watch out for him."

"I know" Teo states flatly.

"May I ask what the issues is there?"

"Just a little history. When am I getting some grandkids? Gio is a child himself so I'm not counting on him."

"Hey!" Gio shouts as I nearly choke on my food. What is it with these people and kids?

"Not yet" Teo answers patting my back.

"The way she's limping I'd say rather soon."

"Okay Vinny that's enough before you kill the poor girl" Giselle says as I try to swallow my tea.

He shrugs before quickly changing the subject. Did they think just because I know about Teo that we're supposed to be kicking out kids? Not going to happen, I'm still a kid my damn self. Not to mention Teo and I have issues that we don't need to be dragging a kid into right now. Plus, I kind of want to be turned before I get pregnant. I don't want my kid to be a mixture and struggle with fitting in somewhere. Dinner continues without a hitch and Teo helps me clean up a little while everyone moves to the entertainment room. When we're done we go to the room to see they're watching a movie. I couldn't imagine a better way to spend a lazy Monday.
