Title: He doesn't have a face.
Haru's POV
I stood at the beginning of a long and eerie hallway, illuminated by an array of glaring lights, one of which was flickering.
The place seemed oddly fimiliar, My bare feet were numbed by the frigid tiles as my eyes were blinded by the lights above me.
How did I get here? I don't remember..
I felt trapped, caged between the two never ending plain white walls of the hallway.
An obscure, equivocal feeling inside of me, told me to move forward.
Gradually and reluctantly, I made my way forward and realized how silent everything was, except for the rhythmic and mechanical sound of the flickering light.
There hung no paintings on the walls nor any sign of vibrancy.
Everything was a shade of pure white, the floor, the walls, the ceiling, my clothes...
I've been here before. But-
Suddenly, an elated, joyous laughter vibrated from afar, filling the empty horizon of what seemed to be a sign of life.
I squinted my eyes and was met by the sight of a white door at the end of the corridor.
This door wasn't here.. How did it appear?
Am I dreaming?
The laugh resonated once again, this time, louder than the first. I was more intrigued at the second but also very hesitant.
All of this sent chills down my spine.
Just when I was about to resume my gait to the door, it opened ever so slightly, as if to invite me to explore what was on the other side of that door.
And so I quickened my pace, and found myself holding the doorknob in no time.
I looked at my cold bare feet again, only to hear my name being called. So in an outburst of both courage and curiosity, I pushed the door open.
I found myself standing in the middle of a room. A gray dull and lifeless room with a small window and an old cracked bed.
Where am I?
"You came back!" instead of jumping in surprise at the sudden voice, my head simply rotated left.
Looking at the ground, the back of a small boy sitting was what faced me. I furrowed in confusion, remaining silent. I could feel sweat forming on my forehead, the room suddenly began to feel smaller than what it was.
"You came back to play with me, Haru?" his lifeless voice echoed through the room.
-
"Who are you?.."
-
He slowly turned his head around.
-
His face was blank. No eyes, no nose, no lips. No traits.
-
He doesn't have a face.
