Farkle

A cool breeze started to blow.

"Farkle!" She exclaimed, running to my side. She wrapped her arms around me carefully and breathed in my scent. Then she pulled away.

"How are you, Riley? It's been a while." Then I smiled.

"Farkle, I-I don't know what to say."

A warm feeling washed over me when I finally admitted that to myself. I haven't felt this way in a long time. When I saw her, I suddenly realized that I really missed her. Over the past years, I've seen pictures of Riley online, even though I did my best to avoid looking at her profile. But seeing her in person was completely different. And now, after years of waiting, here she was, ALIVE! Standing in front of me. The one I love, the one I loved. And the one I will always love.

"Don't tell me you're planning on running away from me again," I said.

Which made her laugh hard. "Of course not, Farkle."

"Congratulations on being a writer. I know that you've always wanted to become one."

"How did you know that?!" She asked.

"You're not the only one who's still friends with Maya and Lucas, you know."

"I thought you've forgotten about me," She told me.

"You seriously thought I would forget you?"

"I mean, you never wrote or called me..."

"I told you, Riles. You're going away, but my heart is still yours. So, here I
am."

"Unless you're with someone else."

I held her closer and I wrapped my arms around her, I rested my chin on her head.

"I missed you so much."

"I-I missed you, too."

I pulled out of our hug and looked at Riley. "You look different."

"I-is it bad different?"

My eyes bore into her eyes. "Of course not. It's a good different." I gently rubbed her cheek. "You looked better."

She wrapped her arms around my neck. She missed my familiar arms. "I love you, Farkle Minkus."

My lips lock onto her cheek, melting her with our sweetness.

My warm fingers glided up her shoulders, leaving goosebumps.

Riley

After our reunion ended, Farkle and I headed to the park. We watched the moon rise in the sky. We talked all night until the break of dawn.

"Riles?"

"Yeah?"

"Riles, I wanted you to know that I really love you. No matter what happened, I will always be there by your side." He said as the sun began to rise, the first rays breaking through the morning fog.

He got down on one knee. He's holding a tiny box, "And if you'll let me love you always and forever, I promised that I will always hug and kiss you like there's no tomorrow. It's because I choose you. And I'll choose you, over and over and over. Without pause. Without a doubt, in a heartbeat. I'll keep choosing you."

"Farkle I-" I began, but he cut me off.

"Don't worry when I fight with you, worry when I stopped because it means there's nothing left for us to fight for."

"And now, I have the strength and courage to ask you. Will you marry me?"

"I would love to, Farkle. I would love to." His lips lock onto my lips, My stomach stirred as sparks of electricity ran through my body.

End of the scene...

It's been a month since Farkle and I got engaged, it's already our wedding day. When I got to the bottom of the staircase, my eyes met Farkle's vibrant blue ones. He looked adorable in his fancy suit as I shyly held a rose in his hand.

"You looked absolutely beautiful," Farkle whispered, leaving me in a smiling mess.

"And you looked handsome."

Peeking up I saw a hint of red forming on his cheeks. I couldn't help giggling at this. It was way too cute. "Y-your, ah rose."

I took it and thanked him.

"Pictures!" My mom gushed wildly. "You guys looked adorable together."

After posing for different twenty pictures, my mom finally lets Farkle and I go.

Riley turned to Farkle, looking apologetic. "Sorry about that."

He chuckled and grabbed my hand. "It's okay. I didn't mind it too much."

They laughed because they both knew that was a complete lie.

Upon arriving at Infinity Gardens, they headed upstairs to the reception. The room was decorated with white roses and bright lights illuminated the dance floor. A DJ was set up on a side. Farkle and I went on the dance floor in the middle.

"I finally have you all to myself."

He lightly kisses me on the lips. "I've always been yours, Riley."

"And I've always been yours." I stood up on my tippy-toes and kissed him deeply.

I will always love him, even if we're not together and even if we're far, far away from each other. He's mine, and I'm his wife now, forever, and always...
