Sorry i got home from my friends house too late yesterday to post again. I know it's a really lame excuse but i promise to post chapter 28 later!!!!!

~Jennie’s P.O.V.~

I had no idea what time it was but I had been asleep for a while when I felt something land on me. A heavy something. I opened my eyes and as they began to adjust to the darkness I realized that something was a someone. I rubbed my eyes and looked at the clock on the nightstand. It was two o’clock in the morning. Then back to the person. My eyes had adjusted enough to see it was Sodapop smiling brightly. “Don’t tell me it’s time to get up already.” I said flopping back on my pillow. “No, not quite.” He said. “Then why the hell did you wake me up?” I whisper shouted at him. “Because I have some good news.” He said. “And to tell me this good news you had to jump on me and stay there instead of just shaking me awake?” I asked. “Yes, because I know you are actually awake now.” He said. “Well, what’s your good news?” I asked just wanting to go back to sleep. “It’s snowing outside. I saw it out my window and knew you would want to see it too.” He said. For once I decided to contain my excitement and let him finish. Once he was done I shoved him off me causing him to flop onto the floor and I raced through the living room and out the front door to the front yard. Sure enough little white crystals were falling from the sky. I smiled and held out my hand covered with the end of the sleeve and caught a couple of snowflakes. I heard someone at the door and saw Sodapop. “It’s snowing!” I said excitedly. He laughed at me and shook his head. “Yes, I know and thanks to you, I messed up my back.” He said rubbing his back and walking over to me. “I’m sorry, Sodapop.” I said wrapping my arms around his waist. He hugged me back. “It’s okay Jennie, you know I love you.” He kissed the top of my head. Sodapop and I stay out there for a while just watching the snow fall. It must have been at least an hour when I heard someone come outside. “Jennie, what the hell are you doing outside, in the cold? You’re going to get sick. Come inside right now.” It was Johnny, “You too Sodapop.” Soda followed me in. To be honest we weren’t cold at all. Johnny wrapped his arms around me to warm me up. “Are you frickin’ crazy?” He asked. “In a sense, yes, and I’m not cold, so let go.” I said and pushed him away. “Go back to bed, you idiot,” He directed to me first then he turned to Soda, “You too, other idiot.” Soda and I laughed and walked back into our rooms. Ponyboy was still asleep, so I crawled under the blankets next to him and fell right back to sleep smiling about the snow and on my birthday too!
