~Johnny’s P.O.V.~
Jennie went upstairs to read so I cleaned the dishes before heading to the Curtis house hold. I smoked a weed on the way there to relax. I walked through the gate and saw Dal and Two-Bit walk out of the house. “Johnny, man, be prepared. Ponyboy won’t shut up about some broad he and Two met earlier today.” Dal said and I nodded. I stomped out my smoke and walked up the steps. I opened the door and walked in letting it slam behind me. Sure enough Pony was talking away to Soda about how beautiful this chick was. Soda was listening to his brother about his first crush helping him. “You should have seen her Soda, golly; she made Marylyn Monroe look average.” Pony said and I could see a light in his eyes when he talked about this girl. “What’s her name for crying out loud?” Steve asked annoyed and I sat down on the couch next to him. “I don’t remember, I was too busy staring at her when she said her name.” He said thinking for a minute. Soda chuckled, “Hope you see her again Pony. I would love to meet her.” The night went on normal, watching TV, playing poker, and some of the guys wrestling. I watched them but I was really paying attention. I was deciding if I should introduce the gang to Jennie. I thought about Shaun next. He was close to Jennie and a better judge of character. It was just the Curtis brothers and I at the house. “Hey guys, I have a friend named Shaun I was wondering if y’all would like to meet him.” I said and they looked at me. “Sure Johnny, when we going to meet him.” Soda said. “Tomorrow after school, and I have to tell you something about Shaun.” I said, I figured I’d warn them about him being gay and tell them not to say anything. “What is it Johnny?” Pony asked. “Well… he’s gay. Just don’t say anything about it to him I’m not sure how he would react.” I said and I looked up for their reactions. They took it a lot better than I thought. “That’s cool, never met someone like that before, but other than that what’s he like?” Soda said. “He’s Irish, like literally born in Ireland, and he’s a pretty cool dude.” I said, to be honest I didn’t know much about Shaun, he was mainly Jennie’s friend. I probably shouldn’t tell Jennie that her best friend was going to meet my best friends. She would go full on bitch mode on me, like when it’s her time of the month and I eat all the chocolate in the house. Now that is the only thing that scares me more than the Socs, my sister when she’s mad. I shivered at the thought. They kinda looked at me weird. “My parents left this morning and I was thinking about if they came back.” I lied. I know it’s usually not me to lie but I couldn’t tell them about Jennie because then that would lead for them wanting to meet her and she is too good for my friends. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Bye.” I said and stood up stretching. “Bye Johnny.” They chorused and I walked out the door and towards my house.
