Luke hung onto the edge of the city. His one hand desperately clinging on for life. He called out to Obi-Wan. He wouldn't try Anakin, his faith in his father now shaken.

He remembered that Obi-Wan told him that he would not intervene. This was confirmed by the absence of Obi-Wan's presence. He called out to his surviving friend: Leia.

"Leia.."

She heard it in her head. She blinked seeing new images with every blink, seeing the bottom of the city, Luke's face in pain, a metal rod in Luke's hand.

"We have to go back." Leia said. Her feelings leading her back.

"Are you serious? Master Skywalker is gone he wanted us to leave-" Lando argued.

"Not Anakin, it's Luke. I know where he is, we're going back." Leia said.

Lando continued to argue but Leia's connection to Luke was calling to her. She turned the ship around, picking up TIE Fighters as she did but she didn't care the moment she saw her brother.

"There." She pointed it out, it was him she knew it. Hitting Lando, "Lando open the top hatch."

Luke felt relief wash over his body as the Millenium Falcon hovered beneath him. He didn't recognize the man standing below him but anything was better than dangling there.

Lando helped Luke back onto the Falcon and walked him to the cockpit where Leia waited in fear, seeing the TIE fighters had spotted them. When Lando came back Leia raced to her brother, holding him in a tight hug. Lando took Leia's place in the pilot seat for her.

Leia helped Luke back into a bed, where he laid down weak from the battle. He was muttering from the cold, a blanket draped over him. He had a horrible fever, Leia began to dab a washcloth on his forehead.

"L-Lei-a." Luke tried to mutter, Leia stopped him. Looking at her brothers face.

"Shh.. relax. Everything will be okay." Leia pushed his hair back. Thankful that Anakin had told her why she had such a strange connection to Luke. It explained so much, she only wondered how Luke will find out, if she would need to tell him. The ship shook and woke her from her thoughts.

"I'll be back." She kissed his forehead and left for the cockpit.

She walked in on Lando and Chewie seeing a Star Destroyer in the distance, they turned to try and get a clear path.

"Let's hope your people fixed the hyperdrive." Leia said, taking a job of her own to set coordinates for the hyperdrive.

"We're ready for lightspeed." Lando said, Chewie confirmed.

"If your people fixed the hyperdrive," Leia put a hand on Chewie's shoulder, "all the coordinates are set. It's now or never."

"Punch it!" Lando commanded, increasing the speed. But the Falcon reacted in flickering lights, and a sound that was the opposite of good.

Leia and Chewie slowly looked at Lando with anger. Chewie banged his fist, and whined.

"They told me they fixed it. I trusted them! It's not my fault!" Lando began an outburst, running to the hyperdrive panel, and being knocked over by an angry Chewie who was upset that he needed to make more repairs.

"It's not my fault!"

(Y/N) had securely hid Anakin on her ship. Requiring no troopers to join on her flight. Anakin would need to be a surprise.

"I just need to make a few arrangements before taking off." She said, leaving the ship.

"Don't do anything stupid." Anakin sat in his chair, looking after her. He couldn't believe he had a chance to get her back.

"You know me well enough to know that I will." She saluted him and closed the ship. Thankful she had a mask as she smiled. She knew she had only been doing dumb things. She knew that keeping Anakin was stupid, she would need to prevent the Emperor from other connecting the dots which was so extremely difficult. The Emperor probably already knew.

She went to the control room. Being greeted by imperial officers that she had no interest in anymore.

"They'll be in our tractor beams' range in moments, my lady." Admiral Piett claims.

"Did your men deactivate the hyperdrive on the Millennium Falcon?" Majka asked, trying to see how her original plan was going.

"Yes, my lord." Piett nods.

"Good job, Admiral. Prepare the boarding party, all weapons will be set to stun." Majka dismissed him. Piett was almost unsettled by the compliment.

She stared off into the vast space, spotting the Millennium Falcon.

"Turn back, Luke." She whispered, trying to reach out to her son. She had made a deal with Anakin, she wouldn't put her son at risk if she could help it. She would sacrifice herself for him.

Mother. Luke responded, hearing her.

~

"It's the circuits on the control panel." She told him.

~

Luke was confused, why would she help him now? She must be lying.

"Father.. why didn't you just tell me?" Luke flopped back onto his pillow. Pleading his father for answers, but Luke wasn't strong enough in his Force abilities to deliver his message.

"Chewie!" Lando yelled in frustration trying to keep the TIE fighters off his tail. Luke decided to get up then.

Luke walked into the cockpit. Lando was shocked to see him on his feet. He gave a look to make sure he was okay, and Luke shrugged it off.

"It's Majka." Luke told Leia.

"What do you mean?" Leia asked, keeping her focus on piloting but gave a glance to him.

Luke sat back down on the other chair. Hearing Majka's voice whisper in his mind: Luke, you must leave.

"Father..." Luke breathed out so quietly it was a question if he even said it, "Why didn't you tell me?"

~

"Alert all commands. Ready the tractor beam." Admiral Piett delivered the commands.

~

Suddenly the whole ship lit up, throwing everything back. Sending the ship into light speed.

"You did it!" 3PO cheered. Luke ran back, he had to see for himself, he looked at Chewie who was hauling R2D2 back out of the pit.

"What was wrong?" Luke asked, he had to know if his mother told him the truth. R2 beeped back.

"It seems that a few small circuits in the control panel needed to be plugged back in." 3PO translated. Luke sighed, his mother had told the truth.

~

The Empire watched on as the Millennium Falcon disappeared into space. The officers looked terrified, knowing the usual punishment would be death.

The relieved Majka, looked away. She wanted to stop that punishment. Death was the easy way out. She would not receive death for her failure, so nobody else should either. She left the room, to go back to the one thing that would make this punishment worth it: Anakin.
