Shutgun wedding

Pinaningkitan ko si Viktor na mukhang tanga habang nakatingin sa kanyang phone dahil panay ang kanyang ngisi.Pag alam nito na nakatingin ako sa kanya ay titikhim ito at biglang pormal ang kanyang akto at iiwas ng tingin.I know he's up to something and he's hiding it from me.

Maldita ang mukha ko na nilapitan ito at nilahad ang kamay sa kanyang harap."Phone.Now."

Nag alinlangan itong ibigay ang phone sa akin pero ng nakita ang reaksyon ko ay agad din nilagay doon.

Naiirita ako ng makita ang conversation doon sa lenggwahe na hindi ko maintindihan.I don't know why we have different languages when we can have only one? "Basta.My instict is telling me that i am right.Wag lang syang magpahuli sa akin kundi lalayasan ko sya."

Umiling si Zoey."I doubt that.Pustahan tayo.In love na in love yang Viktor mo sayo kaya malabo yang pagdududa mo!"

"There's an event tomorrow.Can you manage your make up or you need a help?"

Napapansin ko na kabado si Viktor kinabukasan.Hindi ito napapakali.He keep staring at his phone like he's waiting for an important call.

"Is everything okay?"
It's almost a whisper that i almost miss a word."Good.I want everything is perfect."

Lalo akong nagduda na may binabalak ito.I just need to see it with my eyes for a confirmation,gather some evidence if there is?

Hapon daw magaganap ang event kaya alas tres ng hapon ay nag umpisa na akong magbihis.I wore the dress from yesterday and it fitted to me perfectly.I applied a light blush on on my cheeks,a little eyeshadow and i applied more of mascara to look darker,and a peach lipstick that i don't know that exist.Tyrone wear a black tuxedo just like his father.Hindi ko alam na binilhan si Ty ng tatay nya.

"Mommy look more beautiful."

Bahagya kong pinitik ang ilong nito at ngumiti sa bolero kong anak."Mana ka sa tatay mo,bolero."

"I'm not bolero mommy.I'm telling the truth."

Kumindat ito sa akin saka binalingan ng tingin si Ty.They both looking at each other like they're hiding some secrets.

We arrived in a small chapel na may red carpet pa sa labas hanggang papasok ng kapilya.Pinigilan ako ni Viktor pagdating namin sa bungad.Hinalikan nya ang ibabaw ng ulo ko bago naunang naglakad sa unahan kung saan may pari at sakristan ang naroon.

Aawayin ko sana ito ng lumapit ang ama nito sa gilid ko.Nalilito na ako sa nangyari.Why his father is here?

He smiled at me."Let's go before my son drag you from here to the altar."

Narinig ko ang tawanan sa paligid then i realized that it's not just us.Then a tune from the piano is too familliar to me that it made me realize that we're going to have a wedding.My own wedding is happening right now! Nanlaki ang mga mata ko ng maintindihan ang lahat.

Kumaway si Zoey at Ezekiel na nakaupo habang karga si Kellan,then there's Megan and her husband and the kids.

Nilingon ko ang altar kung saan matyagang naghihintay si Viktor sa harap ng lahat.I can't believe this guy can do something crazy as this without telling me.

Ngumiti ako sa kanyang ama at inilagay ang kaliwa kong kamay sa braso nito at nag umpisa ng maglakad.

Tinapik ng ama ni Viktor ang balikat nito."She's all yours."

Hinawakan ni Viktor ang dalawa kong kamay bago inabot ang mikropono na hawak ng sakristan.

"Before anything else,i just wanna say i love you and you're the best thing that happened to me when i was so pissed because we were stranded in Brunei due to bad weather and i should thanks that bad weather now.After i leave you without saying a word then saw you at the hospital where you worked after two years,i just realized that time that that's what destiny is all about and i promised myself that i won't let you go no matter how much you nag at me.We're not like the usual couple like others,but i promise you that i will court you,we'll date every weekend,travel together,promise you that i will make you happy and promise me that you give me two more kids.I'm sorry but i am proposing to you right now so that we can proceed to our wedding right now."
Nagtawanan ang mga guest sa loob ng kapilya sa kanyang sinabi.Lumuhod ito sa harap ko kasabay ng diamond ring sa harap ko."I am not a perfect partner but i will love you for the rest of our lives,stay with each other till our hair turns black again if they become white.Victoria Tyche Gomez,will you be my wife and hopefully you'll say yes?"

Natatawa akong pinunasan ang mga luha kong nag uunahan sa pagtulo.I know he have a sense of humor that only this people in front of us know.

"Yes.Of course."
Agad itong tumayo at isinuot ang singsing sa palasingsingan ko.

"Let the wedding begin."

So,this is what he's hiding from me? Planning a proposal to a wedding? Nagtitipid ba ito masyado at dito pa talaga sa kapilya? Hindi naman sa namimili ako pero simbahan ang pangarap ko hindi sa kapilya ikasal.Pero kung ano man ang ibibigay ng Diyos sa akin ay tatanggapin ko.

Ty went to us with our wedding ring he's searching on his pocket.He whispered to his dad that he maybe lost it.His whisper is too loud that our guest can still hear us that makes them burst to laughter.

Napapailing ang ama nito sa kanyang sinabi.We said our vow to each other with those rings.I can't believe that i am married all of the sudden.Unexpected things happen when you don't expect it.And the long wait is worth it if you wait patiently.

"Sorry if we're married here.It's a quick plan and i promise to give you a grand wedding in the Philippines with your parents and in a church."

Hinalikan ko ito sa labi."It's okay.I am okay with it.It's a quick planned so what do you expect? And i so love it.I love you Babe."

Ang sabi ni Viktor ay tinawagan nito ang pamilya ko sa Pilipinas sa ora-orada nyang plano at humingi din ito ng permiso sa mga magulang ko at nangako na magpapakasal sa simbahan pagkatapos dito.

"Ready for the honeymoon Mrs.Antonious?"

Anong ready eh nakabuo na nga ulit eh!
