Trigger 20 - The Mastermind

Therbie: "No crushes and boys for now, Sophia Terry. Aral muna. Hindi naman mauubos ang mga lalaki dyan."

Sophia: "Yes po, kuya."

Ngumiti-ngiti akong tumango at marahang ginulo ang buhok nito. As usual, nainis ito sa ginawa ko. Parang may kilala akong babaeng kapag nagugulo ang buhok ay grabeng pagmamaktol ang gagawin.

Matapos ang kamustahan ay umalis na rin si Sofie sa kwarto ko at pumunta na sa room niya kaya mag-isa na naman ako. I was about to finish the rubix cube that I'm playing when I heard my phone, it's ringing.

Boss Dominic Calling...

Therbie: "Yes, boss?"

Boss: *JT, Get in here, asap.*

Therbie: "May nangyari ba, boss?"

Boss: *It's Trigger.*

Therbie: "Ok, I'll be there in a few."

Agad akong nagbihis at nagmamadaling lumabas ng bahay at sumakay sa kotse ko. I drove faster and in just a few minutes I am inside the BDA premises. I immediately walk towards Boss's office. Pagkarating ko doon ay nakita ko si boss na tinanguan ako at napadako ang tingin ko sa isang bulto ng nakayukong babae. Tila ba ang bigat ng problema nito. 

But what really caught me is the blood stains on her shirt and hands.

Therbie: "Boss."

Boss: "Mabuti naman at nandito ka na."

Therbie: "Anong nangyari sa kanya? Bakit may mga blood stains siya?"

Boss: "Hey, young man, calm down. Trigger is OK. May limang lalaki kasing in-ambush siya kanina na napag-alaman kong nautusan ng kung sino."

Agad akong lumapit kay Belle and sat beside her.

Therbie: "Belle, are you alright?"

Belle: "I am, unfortunately."

Therbie: "What--"

Boss: (bulong) "She's OK, but she's with her friend earlier when she was ambushed. Unfortunately, her friend got involved and she was shot while protecting Belle."

I was just in a dazed while processing all of it in my head. Her friend..

Therbie: "Sino sa kanila?"

Belle: "Ambia. But she's stable now, according to Selene dahil tinawagan ko siya kanina. Pero still, hindi pa rin ako matatahimik. Now that it came to this situation, I know that I really must be careful."

Therbie: "Where's the suspect? I heard you were ambushed by five guys."

Belle: "They're all dead, JT. The sniper, who was supposed to shot me, got killed right when he was about to spill the mastermind to me. Arrgh! If I found that son of a gun, I will personally put him or her to hell, permanently."

Again, I was shocked. Kung ganoon ang nangyari ay talagang planado nga ang ginawa kay Belle. Pero bakit kailangan pang may madamay at ang malala doon, kaibigan pa ni Belle. I knew how she treasures her friends, Selene and Ambia, and how she wanted to protect them and her family from harm that she may cause them. And it really happened. One of her friend got involved. 

Boss: "Nagpa-imbestiga na ako sa mga Sub-agents at kasalukuyan silang nandoon sa lugar na pinangyarihan ng pagpatay. Sana may makita tayong makakapag-lead sa atin sa mastermind na iyon."

Belle: "Arrghh! I am so stressed out by all of this! I think I need to go home first."

Boss: "Mabuti pa nga at makapagpahinga ka na muna. Don't worry, we will find out who is behind all this."
