???'s POV

"Dad, I'm going for a walk!" I yelled while dragging the 'walk'.

" 'Kay! Be back before dinner time to shower before dinner!" His father yelled back.

I opened the door and glanced back at the calendar. It said: '2nd June 2025' on it. I walked through the huge garden filled full with flowers that bloomed in the summer, like bougainvilleas, or strawberry flowers, or lavender. ( I have no knowledge of which flowers bloom in the summer cos' I'm writing this in a no wifi place, so I can't check for which flowers bloom...yea... ;-;)

I headed out of the door, ready to start my day, a smile flashing over my face like sunshine over a flower. My eyes shine with pure fire of a great purpose. I was blithe with the bliss of the morning as I somehow knew today would signify a milestone of my life. Maybe it was my mood, maybe it was the scenery, maybe it was the fact that somehow, deep inside me, I knew that something awesome would happen today. Whatever it was, it made me feel free, happy and alive. Out into the open nature, I marveled at the beautiful scenery. There was a shimmer of golden sun shaking through the trees as I strolled on the gravel paths. Piles of golden clouds peered above the horizon, beckoning to me. It was a scene of picturesque abundance, utterly befitting my high spirits as compared to the strict, boring atmosphere in my room just 10 minutes ago. ( Endlessparad0x, you may get this one. XD hint: look into your English exercise book and search for the sample paragraphs that out English teacher told us to copy. :3)Suddenly, a huge piece of flint that was blunt stuck out on the path in front of me, and me being the oblivious one in the family, I didn't notice it and and tripped over it, landing face flat on the gravel path. Well, that shows exactly how oblivious and sometimes careless I am. Anyways, peeling my face off the gravel path, (Tyler-God that came out so wrong...(if anybody gets the reference, you my friend, are ROSSOME XD)) I felt a pain in my left cheek. I summoned a mirror and checked my reflection. I hissed in anger and pain as I saw the scrape on the side of my cheek. It wasn't that it hurt a lot, it was just that I wasn't really used to pain, being protected by guards from dangers, always being accompanied just in case there was an ambush and staying indoors most of the time spending my time reading. It also affected my powers in a weird way. Like it would exhaust my mana quicker(Inotia 4, a game XP) ,but only at certain times, and it was NEVER predictable. So... Getting injured was not fun. Especially for spell casters. Even though you could get your mana back pretty quickly by casting a simple mana spell, it still wasn't fun feeling completely exhausted and feel like sleeping forever even though you were pretty awake.

I muttered some not-so-nice (curse words) words and muttered a simple healing spell. The skin stitched itself together and after it had repaired itself, it looked like as if there had been no wound there in the first place. I stopped levitating the mirror and let it drop. While it fell, it turned into some kind of purple swirls and disappeared. I continued walking with no destination in mind. My feet seemed to know where to go as they started to head in the direction of where the eight statues were.

I finally arrived at where the eight statues were. The place was overgrown with vines and trees, and it was easy to trip over a stray root or a vine here and there. However, since I had been here every single time I wanted to escape the sheer strictness of my home where I had to be followed and protected every single minute, I bypassed all the stray vines and roots easily, reaching the place where the statues were built. Being here made me feel free, and it was tranquil and peaceful. You could not even hear the birds chirping even though they were there. It was like as if even they understood that here was supposed to be very quiet and nothing should interrupt the peace and tranquility of this place.

I stared up at the statues. The vines had only overgrown parts of the stone plague and you could now only see the name. I read them all in order:
