It was a very noisy night, or whatever you call it.
It was 1st of January, and everyone was celebrating. It was almost time, all of us had an app where it counts down to twelve midnight. There was still one minute left, and all of us were outside, watching the fireworks. My arms were around Allie, who was staring up at the sky. I looked at my phone. It was almost time. "Allie, you do know about the New Year's Kiss, right?" I asked her. She nodded. "Well..."
"Five!"
"Four!"
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
I pulled her close to me and kissed her passionately on the lips. Everyone cheered and said "Happy New Year" to everyone as they hugged. The couples around us kissed too. The fireworks continued, and let me say, it was the best New Year's of my life.
