What's another day off school? In the scheme of things it doesn't make a difference in the long run.

I sit in the park. On the grass by the lake, manmade lake.

Everything is weird lately.

Ryan has been distant. I've been feeling strange. Band practice has been tense.
and I don't know why.

I hear leaves crunch behind me.

"I thought I'd find you here, under the big tree in the park" I hear Ryan say as he sits next to me. "You should be class, I thought you cared about school baby" I say kissing his cheek.
He chuckles.

"What would you say if I told you that, my parents are going away this weekend and I have the house to myself," he bites his lip.

"I'll come over you dirty, dirty boy," I say laughing. He smiles at me and my heart melts.

More silence follows. I hold his hand and put my head on his shoulder. He starts to hum to himself. I've never heard it before.

Is it still me that makes you sweat?
Am I who you think about in bed?

When the lights are dim and your hands are shaking as he's sliding of your dress?

Wow, this one is saucy. I close my eyes and listen to his whispering.

Let's get these teen hearts beating faster and faster

He whispers into my ear and pauses. I turn to face him and he kisses me.

I hear yelling. "Ryan, run," I say and he legs it. After a while I stand up and go to walk in the opposite direction.

"pansy" I hear and I roll my eyes.
"at least I didn't have to go to school today" I yell back at them. They surround me. Here it comes, I'm about to have my ass handed to me. Great.

"Oi!" I hear a familiar voice yell and the large guys surrounding me disperse. It's Spencer, thank god for that. "we have band practice lover boy, hurry up" I nod and walk with him. "Ryan is there already, he ran all the way there apparently," I laugh.

I can't let him get hurt again.

this was no accident it was a therapeutic chain of events

I get to the dingy rehearsal space, the only one we could afford. Ryan hugs me. "You aren't hurt!" he says kissing me all over.

"stop it!" I say giggling like a schoolgirl.

We walk in and set up for practice. I can't stop looking at Ryan the whole time.
