Prologue
Hello, my name is Skylar, Skylar Grey, and this, is my life. I can’t say it’s been neither terribly exciting, nor exceedingly boring either. I have an average life. I grew up in a happy home until my 10th birthday when my parents split up, which really wasn’t too much of a surprise seeing as nearly 50% of marriages end in divorce. I’m an average student; by that I mean I never have straight A’s but I don’t fail every test. Now, I’m not extremely pretty either. I have plain green eyes, long black hair; I’m skinny and average height for a 14 year old.
Although… I am a bit of a rebel I guess. I’m always in trouble at school (as in, detention every day, been suspended once or twice) and I never really listen to what my mum says. I listen to rock and screamo I guess, as in Black Veil Brides, Motionless in White, Bring me the Horizon, Slip Knot etc. But I do have friends, thank you very much stereotypes and no, I’m not bullied or anything awful. In fact, I’m changing my opinion; I have a pretty cool life.
But fate seems to have a sense of humour, because it changed my life, into some pretty complicated crap that I really don’t appreciate.
