There is a knock on the metal door. I don't answer it, I refuse to move. The knocking rings out again, louder and more consistent than before. I just bury my face into the plush carpet.

There is no more knocking. This time someone barrels into the door, making it shudder before flying open. Stood at the door is Blight.

Blight won the games a couple of years ago. I guess he is this years mentor. All I can remember of Blight was that he was brutal and strong. The ideal package of a tribute and a victor.

"Get up." He says.

I do as he says. His voice commands authority and it's actually scary. I mean why wouldn't you listen to this guy? He could probably cut you up with an axe in so many different ways, you couldn't count them on your fingers.

I stand awkwardly, shuffling on my feet. He walks around me a couple of times before standing dead in front of me.

"Cry." He orders.

"Excuse me?" I put my hands on my hips.

"You know, tears and that stuff!" He says.

"Duh, I know that but why the fuck do I need to cry?"

"Weak girl got some bite." He laughs. "You collapsed. On stage. In front of the whole district. And it will be televised. You looked weak. Now, you act weak. I don't give two flying axes if you're not weak but I want you to play it. Act, sunshine."

I nod, devouring the information. Blight has a point, doesn't he? I looked weak and childish, a seventeen year old having a break down in front of everyone. I will act.

Biting my lip hard, I wait for the water works to start. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I try again by pinching the top of my thighs. All that achieves is a wince.

"I can't cry!" I say while flinging my arms up in the air.

Blight takes a couple of steps towards me, lifts his foot off the ground a little and brings it down onto my left foot.

"Oh crap! What the actual-!" I scream as tears begin to pour down my face. I hold my sore foot and rub it softly.

"Shut up, woman. You're crying, now keep those tears running!" Blight laughs at my pain and walks out the door. I limp after him.

We reach the foyer and get joined by Una and Cade. Cade's face is unreadable and he is emotionless. It's fantastic. I on the other, I'm spurting tears like a broken waterfall.

"Are we ready?" Una asks and without waiting for an answer, she totters off towards the train.

All three of us watch in fascination. Una smiles for the camera, throws a few waves out and then climbs aboard a fancy looking train.

I've got to give it to her. I'm surprised she can walk in those heels.

"Go!" Blight pushes me forwards and I stumble a little, unable to get my stability.

I go all out on this acting. I make the tears fall heavily and snort loudly. I keep stumbling and tripping my way towards the train. I climb aboard it. Once I'm out of sight of the cameras, I wipe my tears away and let a huge grin take over my face.

"Well done, Sunshine." Blight pats me on the back as he joins me on the train.

"Thanks."

I let my feet take me to the dining cart and I pick up a piece of chocolate cake. I've had cake once before and I remember it being freaking awesome! I take a chunk out of the cake and swallow it whole. It's even better than I remember! I savour the taste.

"You should have waited!" A voice squeaks from behind me.

"Sorry!" I say with a mouthful of cake which is met by a frown.

Blight walks in after me and takes a piece of cake too. I grin like a manic and he throws a cake-y smile at Una.

"Live a little." He laughs which sends me into silent hysterics.

Una stalks off and I release all my giggles.

"Let's go eat!" Blight says and sits down. We are soon joined by Una and Cade. Una is still displeased and keeps looking over at Blight and me before shaking her head.

Una presses a button on the table and in under two minutes, there is piping hot food on the table.

"What? What!" I say totally mesmerised and slightly annoyed.

"It's food!" Blight guffaws.

"I know! But we crave food and you! You just push a button and get it all delivered that easy! That's not fair!" I scream.

"You have got a pair of lungs on you!" Blight laughs. "But don't say any of that here though, you should know better!"

"Better than what? Starving poor and innocent children? Yes I know that, clearly you don't!" I scream some more while at the other side of the table, it looks like Una's eyes are going to pop right out of the ugly Capitol head of hers.

"Stop!" Blight warns.

I'm rash and stupid so I ignore him completely.

"The Capitol! They're all sick! Sick! Snow, I hope you're freaking listening because I have something to say! You're sick! Sick! You deserve to be burried six feet under! Go die, Snow!" I scream.

The lights in the carriage go out with a pop and the train comes to a halt.

"Well done, Sunshine. You've done it now." Blight says.
