Of chances

Dahil sa reshuffle ng teachers, nahihirapan ako ngayon mag-adjust. Parang napakadistant kasi nila.. dumadami na rin ang school works.

Kate! Aja!

"Katy Perry! PANALO NA FALCONS WOOOH!!" Masiglang sabi ni Jen.

Nanumbalik tuloy ang atensyon ko sa game.. I have this habit of stalling..

"Oo nga," napatingin ako sa court at nakitang 10 sec. nalang at bola pa ng BU. Lamang kami ng three points.

The crowd were mixed with both chants pero mas nangibabaw ang amin.

"GO BU! GO BU! Best in U!
GO BU! GO BU! Best in U!"

And the crowd went wild when the timer made its noise. Dahil napakabuti kong kaibigan, inaya ko si Jenina na i-congratulate si Tanner.

"Teka naman, Kate.. let me retouch muna! Haggard na fez ko eh. Ayokong makita ako ni beb na ganito!"

Dahil tunay ngang napakabuti kong kaibigan, pumayag ako na mag-ayos muna siya ng sarili. Pati tuloy ako ay naengganyo so I thought of applying liptint to my pale lips and cheeks.

Na buti nalang at ginawa ko dahil nakita ko si Dean pagkalabas namin ng CR!

"Kainis 'yung mga girls na yon ha, kung makapag-agawan kay Tanner beb. Psh.. Nasa sakin pa rin ang huling halakhak. Mua-ha-ha!"

Nababaliw na siya.

"Jen, ayos lang ba mukha ko? Masyado bang red yung lips ko? O kulang pa ako sa pulbos?" Harap ko sa kanya.

"Nah, you're pretty fine na. Pustahan, may pogi dito 'no? Or worse! Nandito si bebeboi mo."

Lumingon siya sa kaliwa at nagtaas ng kilay.

"The latter it is. Well, punta na tayo kay Tanner beb!" Hinila niya ako papunta sa kinaroroonan ni Tan.

I faked a cough.

Napalingon tuloy si Tan at ang mga kasama niya sa amin. Nagpaalam na ang ilan.

The girls were scrutinizing their eyes, looking us from head-to-toe. I remain impassive as I could while Jen gives this 'hindi-ako-papakabog-look'.

"Kate, your here. I missed you," he hugged me. Then the girls gave me such a malicious questioning looks.

"Hay nako. Napaka-sweet niyo namang magpinsan. Pahingi rin ako ng hug, Tanner!" Singit ni Jenina. The girls looked relieved yet Jen still recieved a glare from them.

"Of course, Jenina. Long time no see, getting prettier huh?" Yinakap din siya ni Tanner. Sigurado akong nagwawala na deep inside si Jen.
Kinikilig ako for them!

For a moment there, nawala sa isipan ko si Dean.. kaso nagpakita na naman siya sa harapan ko. Some members of the team appeared too.

He congratulated him and the team. Apparently, they are both good friends. How could I forgot about the modelling world they're in?

"Buti naman, umalis na yung paepal girls," Jenina muttered under her breath.

I was about to comment on her remarks when Dean approached me. "Kate, it's nice to see you here. What's up?"

Seriously, I get lost for words whenever I'm
talking to someone na nagpapaconscious sa akin.
"I'm doing well, Dean. Ikaw ba?" I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Never better." A beat. "Hey, are you free today?" I was flabbergasted with his question. I don't want to assume but I'm seeing light. A bit.

Lumingon ako kay Jenina but she was out of sight. I want to grab this chance.
