Unexpected Meeting

Third Person

Nang maimulat ni Rinrin ang mata niya ay una niyang nasilayan ang partner niya na nakasandal sa tabi ng hospital bed na hinihigaan niya. Napatingin si Rinrin sa kamay niya at ginalaw-galaw ito bago tumingin sa salamin, napangiti siya.

“A replica of my vessel.. everything’s accurate with my body. This is.. perfect,” bulong niya “And the weird eye color’s gone. Just plain black along with black hair!”

“W-Wha..” Napatingin naman si Rinrin kay Justin na unti-unting naimulat ang mata nito.

“Your eyes are really wonderful. It makes me wonder before if you're just wearing a negative sclera contact lens but I'm dead wrong! White eyes and black sclera! W-Wonderful!” sigaw ni Rinrin at nakatingin pa din sa mga mata niya

“..Tch,” sambit ni Justin at umiwas ng tingin.

“Hey there, don’t act like an old man,” sita ni Rinrin sa kaniya.

“O-Old man?!” Lumiwanag ang mata ni Justin at nag-umpisang yumanig ang paligid.

Natawa si Rinrin “Chill,Justin. Chill. Sorry to offend you, let’s visit a pastry shop and I’ll treat you something. I’ve been yearning for custard cakes since I became a spirit.”

“P-Pastry?”

Tumango si Rinrin “I’m really fond of ‘em!~ So.. are you coming or not?”

Umiwas ng tingin si Justin “S-Since I’m the commander’s partner.. It’s my  duty to guard the commander.”

Ngumiti naman si Rinrin sabay tinignan si Justin na nakatungo, hindi maiwasan ni Rinrin na mamula at mapabuntong hininga na lang. Biglang bumukas naman ang pinto at tumumbad dito si Rion.

“Y-You’re awake,” bulong ni Rion “What a relief.”

“H-Hi there. What’s up? Where are the others?” tanong ni Rinrin sa kanya.

“They're on their way here,” saad ni Rion at ngumiti nang nakakatakot “Now that you have your own vessel again, come back at me.”

Umiling si Rinrin “Nah-uh. Move on na bes.”

“W-What?!” sigaw ni Rion.

“I said that you should move on already, it’s been three years for fuck’s sake,” saad ni Rinrin at napangalumbaba.

“You’re going to regret that,” malamig na utas ni Rion bago lumabas ng kwarto.

“Did you broke his heart that easily? I can sense his despair.. it became worse,” walang emosyong tugon ni Justin sa kaniya.

Rinrin shrugged “A person in despair won’t feel ‘love’ anymore. Only despair.”

“Ba’t parang sure ka?” tanong niya sa kaniya.

“I don't know. Just a hunch,I guess..” bulong ni Rinrin at ipinikit ang mga mata niya “I’m sleepy,Justin. Tired..”

“...Weird,” Justin muttered.

Kinabukasan, nang matapos ang check-up nila ay napagdesisyunan ng dalawa na lumabas. Inulan naman sila ng protesta ng iba.

“What if those idiots saw you?!” sigaw naman ni Celestial
