May's PoV
I woke up to Max yelling.
"May!"
I rolled over and pretended to be asleep. I had the best dream ever, that blaziken could mega evolve... And that Brendan's Swampert could as well.
"MAY! GET UP!"
I ignored him. He always went on about nothing.
"MAY! MAY MUM CONFIRMED WE'RE GOING TO KALOS!"
That got me awake.
"WHAT?!?!" I yelled back, jumping out of bed and hurriedly changing.
"AND BRENDAN'S COMING IN LIKE LITERALLY FIVE MINUTES TO GO WITH US!!!!!"
"Uh-huh... Wait what?!?"
I'd been avoiding Brendan for a while now... or at least I was trying to. I always turned into this blushing, stuttering mess around him- You know the drill. Apparently that's how you act around someone you have a crush on. I guess you could say I had one on Brendan.
"May, GET A MOVE ON!"
That was Mum.
"Hey, what's all this about May?"
Oh arceus. Brendan was here.
"I'M COMING I'M COMING I'M COMING!" I yelled.
I half-sprinted down the stairs, almost tripping over one of Max's stray trainers.
"Max, keep your shoes in the shoe cupboard! Hi, Brendan!" I smiled and jumped down the last few steps.
"Hey May." He flashed a smile. "Ready to go to Kalos?"
"You bet."
