My 'get to know Arthur' project moved along a little easier after that. Thankfully, he seemed to realize that most of my past was painful, just like I was now sure his was. So, I took Katty's advice and shared my daydreams of a fantasy future that I had spun while in Sophia's control. And he gradually returned my stories with little bits and pieces of his own.

Until the day that Max was kidnapped and Katty and Jason went rushing off to rescue him. Everyone was rather depressed that day. The only reason I kept it together at all was because Katty and Jason had gone to get him back so quickly. And out of all of us, Max was probably the best equipped to handle it and survive until they got there.

We weren't feeling much better the day after the three of them took off, because it meant they had had to chase Max much further than we had first suspected. So I was a little irritated when there was a knock on the door.

I slowly opened the door and looked at the woman on the other side. I wondered if she was a girlfriend when she gave me a confused smile. I carefully smiled back, though there was little friendliness in it. "Looking for Arthur?"

She grinned. "Yes. My name is Sonya. Is he in?"

"He should be home from work soon. Come in?" She nodded and I stepped back to allow her past me. I closed the door behind her and then went back to the kitchen to finish dinner and pull it off the heat. "You a girlfriend?" I glanced back at her to find her eyes glowing gold.

"I wish."

I stared for a moment, stiffening when she came towards me. "You related to Katty?" She gave me a predatory grin.

"I'm her cousin." She cocked her head at me as she leaned a hip against the counter. "I didn't think Arthur was into pets. How did you manage to seduce him?"

I shook my head. "I'm not his pet. I'm just rooming with him until I can get a place of my own." I didn't like the look of her smile. It was just too close to the sort of look I was used to seeing on Pierre.

She laughed. I blinked in surprise, then fell back with a sharp inhale when she leaned into my space. I caught the scent of lavender. I didn't remember her having that scent when she had passed me before. "Then you won't mind if I seduce you?"

I bit my lip. "I'd rather you didn't."

She only smiled. "I think I might try anyways. You're cute. And I bet you're just dying for some fun. You want to make me happy don't you? Do whatever it takes to please me? It would please me if you said yes."

I swallowed hard. I did actually. I slowly nodded and felt a wash of warm approval from her. My mouth went dry and I wanted more. So much more. The scent of lavender turned heady.

"Very good." She turned towards the living room and went to take a seat on the couch. I followed after her without a second thought. She raised an eyebrow in surprised pleasure when I knelt at her feet. She giggled and leaned forward, running her fingers through my hair. "What a good boy. Someone has trained you well. Was it Arthur?"

I shook my head. "Sophia." Speaking felt like a chore. My tongue was sticky and my brain wasn't supplying the words I wanted. Sonya seemed thoughtful for a moment, then brightened. Another wave of approval went through me.

"Ah! I remember her." She chuckled and lifted my chin a bit from where it had started to sink down. My eyes felt heavy. She snapped her fingers in my face and I blinked in surprise as the fog cleared a bit. "So then, you like the whole bondage and control scene. This stuff gets you off."

I shook my head. "Not from her. I don't trust her."

Sonya smiled. "You can trust me." She leaned down towards me and for a breathless moment I thought she was going to kiss me.
