May 3rd started off as a normal day.
I got out of bed and got ready, my mom made me breakfast, and I went to school.
It was the jouney home that things started to get weird.
"How much do you have?" My friend Katii asked.
"I have like.. 2 bucks." I said, and she nodded.
"Sky, that's enough for 2 Coke's. But you have to buy them." She pushed me over to the strore and I scowled at her as I walked in.
I only moved here to Oakland a few weeks ago, and she thinks I can do everything.
I rounded the corner and bumped into a tall blonde man.
"Oh, sorry." We said at the same time, and then we both laughed as we moved away. I looked up at the coke and damned my height. I've always been small.
"Whaddya need?" The guy spoke up.
"Uh, two cokes please." I smiled. He nodded and easily grabbed them then handed them to me. "Thank you." I said, and I noticed he was frowning slightly as he looked at me more carefully. "Uh, yeah." I said awkwardly before scuttling off to pay for the cokes then leave.
When I looked back, the blonde man was still looking at me curiously.
