8| Chapter - Bounce Back (2)

Last night I skipped out on my plans with Olivia, I told her her I was a little sick from the food. It was a lie, what Theo said to me hit me a little harder than it should have, i've never been spoken to like that before and I never want to be spoken to like that ever again.

I stayed in bed for the whole day, by night I came to the conclusion that I didn't care what Theo said to me, I did not come here for him and will not give him the satisfaction of ruining my holiday, I had three more days left and I am going to enjoy it.

Getting ready, I put a little more effort than usual in my appearance, I call Olivia who is awake as usual and we decide to go out and get breakfast. We find this quaint little bistro across the road from the hotel.

"Is that Theo?" Olivia says we walk in, I follow her gaze to where Theo is sitting alone, I instantly feel uneasy and before I could say anything Olivia, walks in his direction calling his name "Theo?" I'm contemplating turning around, but the stubborn side of me refuses so I follow Olivia in, this is going to be an awkward breakfast

He turns around when he hears his name and smiles at Olivia, ignoring me "Livy!" he says a little too enthusiastically which makes me roll my eyes, can't he just leave

She sits down next to him, I take the seat opposite her looking straight at the menu, i don't want to be involved in this conversation, i don't even want to be here, with him. The waiter comes over, I only order a drink, i've suddenly lost my appetite. I'm still studying the menu a little to intensely while Olivia and Theo talk like I'm not here.

"Stephy?"

I look up and it is Dan, I get up and hug him and he looks a little taken aback "Hey, How are you?" I ask

"I'm good, you?"

"i'm good too, you here for breakfast?"

"Yeah just thought I'd get an early one and this is the only place open"

"Sit join us" I say patting the chair next to me, happy that I finally have company "this is my friend Liv" I say pointing to Olivia, he already knows Theo and even if he didn't i wouldn't introduce him, he doesn't need to know him

"Hi I'm Dan"

"Hey Dan" she says smiling at him

I glance at Theo and he looks as cool as a cucumber which annoys me a little bit. At that moment, the waiter brings out Olivia's and Theo's food. She starts eating continuing her conversation with Theo.

"What are you eating?" Dan asks me

"Haven't ordered anything yet, I'm not too sure about the menu, do you have any suggestions?"

"A few, but I don't know if you'll like them"

"well it's probably better than anything that I'll order so order for me" I say handing him the menu

He ordered me an omelette that had a twist to it, when it comes it doesn't look like any omelette that I've seen before, I'm not really sure about it and he notices. "You don't have to eat it, you can order something else" he says looking a little embarrassed

When i look at him I can see Theo's grin in the corner of my eye and this annoys me "No I'll try it" I say a bit hesitant but take a forkful and i'm surprised because it's actually really nice "It's really nice" I say taking more

"Really?"

"Yeah it is, I'll admit, I was scared at first but it tastes amazing"

While we eat I talk only to Dan and Theo only talks to Olivia and it doesn't bother me one bit. It's better this way, acting as if both of us does not exist. Before we leave, Dan goes to the restroom leaving me with Liv and Theo which is slightly awkward but I pull out my phone, pretending to do something on it.
