You Find Out He Likes You - Ethan

Y/N POV

"You guys are so annoying," you playfully complained to your best friends, Ethan and Grayson who you were on skype with. They were currently laughing hysterically at the picture they had screenshotted of you while the screen was frozen. You hated when they did that.

"Stoppppp," you begged.

"Okay okay fine," Ethan said after recovering from laughing. You rolled your eyes. His face was beat red, and he was wiping his tears of laughter away from his eyes. Your stomach rumbled as hunger filled your senses. You hadn't really eaten anything that day.

"I'll be right back," you said. They both nodded and talked amongst themselves. You went down to the kitchen to grab a granola bar and an apple and then made your way back up the stairs. As you entered your room, you heard Grayson say your name which immediately grabbed your attention. You stood off to the side of the camera so they couldn't see you, but you could see them so you could listen to what they were saying.

"What if she comes back and hears you?" He asked his brother worriedly.

"We'll hear her when she gets back on the camera, and I put the call on mute."

That's what he thinks.

"But Gray, I wasn't sure until the other day, but I think that I like her, a lot."

Your mouth dropped open and you almost dropped your apple on the floor from surprise. Ethan likes me?

"Awe Ewe-tee-wee's got a crush," Grayson cooed his brother which made you giggle quietly.

"Okay, never call me that again, and stop I seriously really like her. What should I do?" You saw Ethan grab his hair in frustration.

"Chill Ethan, but I think you should just man up and tell her, she could possibly like you back."

"But what if she doesn't?"

"Why wouldn't she? You are the definition of the perfect guy, she would be crazy not to. But if she doesn't, what's the harm in staying friends?"

Your heart was beating a million times a second.

"Okay," Ethan said. You decided that it was time to show your self. You walked onto the screen and sat in front of your laptop.

"I'm back," you announced. Both of them immediately looked up to the screen.

"Hi," they said in sync.

"I have to go to the bathroom," Grayson announced. He gave Ethan a convincing wink, trying to be slick, but failing miserably. Ethan slapped him hard on the arm which made him laugh. Then he moved closer to the camera.

"Y/n," he started. "I um- need to tell you something," he bit his lip nervously. You nodded, encouraging him further.

"I like you, a lot. And have for a little while now. It's okay if you don't like me back, I don't want it to effect our friendship or anything, I don't want to make it awkward, I just thought I should tell you." He scratched the back of his neck and looked away from you.

Why was your heart beating so fast? Why was your stomach fluttering? Why was your face heating up in a blush? It was then when you realized that you had the same feelings for him as he did for you, and it took you years to figure that out.

"Ethan," you started. "Look at me."

He looked up at the camera nervously.

"It took me a long time to realize this, longer than it should have. But, I like you too," you smiled at him. He let out a shaky breath, relieved about what you had just admitted to him.

"Y/n?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked with hope in his voice.

"Of course," you giggled. You were so happy. So happy that you could finally call him yours. Happy that you could be true to your feelings that you didn't even know were there, and lastly, happy that you found a partner, and he was your best friend.

Reason why is so I can make the 2 longer, and better, and also so I have time to work on the other story I will be publishing soon.
