If you don't think that Halt and Pauline are the biggest shippers in the entire series then you're wrong. 

I can just imagine them watching as Will and Alyss are being friends and every time one of them does something that just SHOWS how much they love the other they'd be like "DAMN GIRL DIDN'T YOU SEE THAT?!" or "JEEZ C'MON WILL I DIDN'T TRAIN YOU TO IGNORE THE OBVIOUS."

I bet they'd even bet about who'd confess their love first and when, and later, when they're in a relationship, who of the two would propose and when.

I mean, think about it for a second. In The Burning Bridge, Alyss says that "When I was younger, I used to say that I was going to marry him." and HALT REPLIES "YOU COULD DO A LOT WORSE."

And in Erak's Ransom, Pauline tells Alyss that, if you'd ask her, Rangers and Couriers fit together perfectly.

AND IN THE BATTLE OF MACINDAW, Halt teases Will by bringing up the subject of Alyss and watches him in pain as he cannot do anything being his mentor. 

IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE THAN WILL AND ALYSS DON'T END UP TOGETHER

And then I haven't even started about ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE Halt and Pauline were shipping, like Gilan/Jenny and Horace/Cassandra. 

OR THINK ABOUT HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE ACTUALLY SHIPPING WILL/ALYSS.

Halt and Pauline did. Surely Horace and Cassandra talked about it. Baron Arald and Lady Sandra were a part of the audience. Crowley must have noticed SOMETHING at the end of B6. Gilan always knows everything and just laughs. Jenny had small little signs when Will and Alyss would have dinner in her restaurant. EVEN GUNDAR NOTICED THE LOVE BETWEEN THEM, EVEN BEFORE ALYSS CONFESSED HER LOVE TO WILL. And we all know that if even a Skandian noticed the love between two other people, it's way too obvious (no offense).

SO IF ALL THOSE PEOPLE SHIPPED WILYSS THEN WHY DOESN'T EVERYONE WHO HAS READ RANGER'S APPRENTICE?!
