He left.
He made his choice and he didn't choose me.
It's been four years since I've seen him.
He didn't keep in touch and I tried to let him go.
My name is Meredith. I had a best friend. I lost him. And I learned to live without him. I build my walls back up. I moved on. But now he's back.
And I remember again.
His smile. His eyes. The way we used to look at each other and laugh. The way he used to ruffle my hair to annoy me. The way we danced in the rain. The way we fought for the remote. The way he left without saying goodbye. The way we used to fight. The way he always, always, knew how to make me feel better.
The way he made me fall in love with him. And then the way he forced me to hate him afterwards.
Zayden Walker. You left me like I meant nothing to you. You haunted my dreams for four years. Your memories pierced my heart like an arrow. I cried and cried and cried, but you never looked back.
You didn't choose me. And I was a fool to think that you would.
But now I know better.
