You say my voice tells stories but you've always been the storyteller
We repeat the same words just said in different intonations
The songs you've written become a revelation
They give me hope and take me home all at the same time
I lose myself as you lose yourself as well
Autopiloting the lyrics so how do you still have such control of the sky
And when I sing how do you hear what I never understand
I cringe back at the sound of my voice and you rejoice in the "choice" of loving me
I think you and I both know damn well that love isn't a decision
But if it was it is the best decision I've ever made
A single touch from you brings me back from the fading whirlpool of my mind.
I sing the words I'm too afraid to say and that sounds just too incredibly cliche
But what are we if not cliche
Break the norms and then reconform
Let's sing together and make a story that everyone aspires to.
