▷▶Chapter 53◀◁

Start from the beginning

"Awwwww~" we chorused.

Soon we all had our turns. Natsu was left.

"Its your turn, Natsu." I nudged him.

"I ain't playing." He mumbled, before turning away to stare out of the window. "It's okay. Let him be. Then I guess it's your turn, Lucy." Mira said kindly to me.

I processed my next words, thinking if I should say them or not.

I should.

"Never have I ever seen Natsu like this."

Silence filled the car once again. Everyone looked down, or looked away, or looked at Natsu. Natsu stiffened up a little and looked at me stonily. I glared right back at him.

No one said anything after that. The little attempt to liven everyone up failed. The rest of the car journey was quiet.

I hate this.

When we reached the airport, Laxus parked his car at the car park and we filed out. Gray got his and Lucy's luggages out of the back and we moved as a huge group to the terminal.

I sulked the whole time. I just didn't want to face up to the fact that Luce was leaving; I can't take that. The group made small talk in front of me while I just shuffled behind refusing to look anywhere but the floor.

"Natsu."

Oh great who is it now?

I looked up with a bored expression.

Oh, it's Luce.

"What?" I mumbled.

"We need to talk."

Oh, not this "Natsu-what's-with-your-attitude" talk.

So after all the check in procedure and all, with the half an hour left, Luce and I sat at the bench near the airplanes and watched them take off. I refused to kick start the conversation.

But I did anyway.

Just to get this done and over with.

"So....what?" I muttered.

"Why are you acting like this?" She asked.

*sigh*

"Bad mood."

"Why?"

"Shit's happening."

"What shit?"

"You're leaving."

"Is duo syllables the best you can--oh. Natsu, I thought we were already over this."

"Well we're not. And I want you to stay. I hate that you're leaving." I grumbled.

She blew out a puff of air, also known as sighing, and leaned back. Then she nuzzled her head in the crook of my neck.

"I don't want to leave either. But I have to. Be a good boy for me please?" She whispered. "I don't wanna." I frowned.

She lifted a finger and poked my cheek. "Pleeease? You know that I hate it when you act like this, this isn't the Natsu I know. I promised I'll be back. Remember to update me on what is going on. It is going to be the end of the year already anyway." She said.

I groaned. "Fine."

She smiled.

Then we sat in stillness, simply watching airplanes take off one by one.
