Suga visited Daichi everyday, just to check up on him, since it had somehow become routine.

Daichi simply wanted to be alone, but without his best friend here, he knew he would be drowning in his own sorrow. Asking himself why he wasn't enough and how foolish it was to destroy his future for Kuroo after he left in the end anyways.

Daichi heaved out a sigh as he watched Suga nibble on the last of the grilled cheese sandwich he had prepared for himself.

He would've made something more filling, but that was all that there seemed to be in the pantry. As he finished the sandwich he stood up, stretching his back in the process. The trashcan wasn't too far, so he quickly walked over to throw away the paper plate and napkin.

Right as Suga was about to let go of the trash, he noticed a bright yellow paper peeking out from above all the waste. He placed his trash on the countertop and reached down to pluck out the wrinkled paper. Smoothing it out, he read the messy handwriting in surprise.

"I'll be back sometime later to pick up my things."

"Daichi. What's this note and why didn't you tell me about it?" Suga ran towards Daichi and waved the paper in front of his face, frustrated at the amount of things he had decided to hide.

"Oh, that note? I don't want to see it again," Daichi replied flatly as he tore the paper from this outstretched hands and lazily walked over to drop it back in the trashcan.

"But-" Suga was about to counter, but a soft knock on the door signaled otherwise. He glanced at Daichi quickly, but he was completely frozen. His eyebrows furrowed in concern before he walked cautiously towards the door. A knock was heard once again, meaning that the person on the other side was getting impatient.

Suga's fingertips were now hovering over the locks and he took a deep breath in.

"Don't," Daichi hissed when he suddenly had the courage to run up to Suga. His fingers curled around Suga's wrist and yanked it backwards away from the locks, causing Suga to wince in response and use his other hand to slap him away.

"Let me open the damn door."

"Suga, I swear to fucking god. I don't want to face Kuroo," By now, desperation was kicking in. Yes, he wanted to see Kuroo and ask him all of the questions that had been running through his head.

Then again, all he would get was a glance and then Kuroo would disappear once again.

"It's worth a try," Suga shrugged, much to Daichi's horror and undid all the locks to swing the door wide open. In an automatic response, Daichi shielded himself behind Suga's body and peeked over his shoulder.

"What are you doing here?"
