The next day~

Riley stumbles out of bed and heads for the bathroom. She hears the radio blasting in Joshua's room but she decides to ignore it .

Finally it's turned off and she knocks on his door.

"Come in!"He shouts.

"Hey, what happened to your date?" Riley asks curiously.

"Mariah couldn't make it so I'm taking her out tonight instead."

"Have fun."

"What, you're not going to talk to me about Maya again?"

"No, there's no point uncle Josh." Riley walks away.

The door bell rings and Mariah patiently waits by the door.

Riley opens it and looks up at her. "Hey come in." She steps aside.

"Josh in his room?" Mariah walks in and looks around.

"Yeah. Can I ask you a question?"Riley shuts the door.

Mariah nods. "Should I sit?"

"No this is very quick. Okay so how do you feel about my uncle josh?"

"Well I like him a lot. Why?" Mariah pulls a strand of her hair back.

"Just niece instinct." Riley fake smiles.

"You don't like me do you?" Mariah sighs.

"To be quite honest. Not really." Riley admits.

"I'm sorry to hear that. If there's anyway I could try to change your mind about me, I'm all for it." Mariah shrugs.

Maya barges in. "Why hello Riley and...you."

Josh walks into the living room and locks eyes with Maya.

"Hey Maya."

"Uncle josh." Maya raises a brow. "Anyways, Riley I need your help."

"With what?"

"Well...I have a date." Maya smirks.

Riley's eyes widen and she starts to jump up and down. "Oh my god Maya, who is it?"

"Just some cute boy with light brown hair and blue eyes. No big deal." Maya chuckles and looks at josh to see if he reacts.

Surprisingly he looks uncomfortable during the conversation.

"Cute." Riley smiles. "What's his name?"

"Jake." Maya blushes.

"Is that a blush? Maya hart never blushes." Riley squeaks excitedly.

"Maya never blushes? Since when?" Josh interrupts.

Maya ignores his comment. "He's taking me to my moms diner tonight. I'm actually really excited about this guy."

"Well Mariah and I will see you there tonight because we're going too." Josh looks at Mariah and wraps his arms around her.

"Sweet. Great. Riley bay window right now."

"Right now?" Riley whines.

"Yes!" Maya takes her hand and rushes to the room.

"What's the matter?"

"I lied."Maya admits.

"What?"

"I never met a guy named jake and I'm sure as heck not going to the diner for a date. Riles what am I going to do?"Maya frowns.

"Why'd you lie peaches?"

"I wanted josh to think that I was over him." She sighs.

"It'll be fine. Um how about I call Lucas and he can pretend to be jake?"

"You would do that for me?" Maya smiles.

"Of course. Let me give him a call. Look in my closet for something cute. Tonight is operation get uncle josh jealous." Riley smirks.
