The island that was inhabited by Pokémon and only Pokémon was a very peaceful place. But then, one day, humans attacked. An evil organization had captured and maybe killed many Pokémon inhabiting the island. The legendary Pokémon had to put an end to it. The families of legendary Pokémon came. They ushered the Pokémon to safety, and some of the Pokémon joined the fight, but couldn't save themselves. Most of the legendaries had been captured; only one of each specie remained. The organization left, totally satisfied, and peace returned to the island. Not a single human has lurked on the island since.
This tragic event was known as the Great War among the Pokémon, despite it not really being a war. Many Pokémon had died or taken away, never to return. The island was a sad place for a long time, but it eventually got that happy feeling. The island returned to its original state before the Great War.
