-chapter three-

It's been about two weeks.

Two weeks since Steven poofed back into his gem.

Connie stared at the bright Rose Quartz gem. She was waiting for her best friend to come back. For Steven to come back.

She didn't know what she'd do without him. He made her life better, more positive. She didn't have any other friends aside from Steven. Well, she had the Crystal Gems, but it wouldn't be the same without Steven.

So she sat there, waiting for him.

Garnet noticed this, and decided she should try to comfort her.

"Hey, he'll be okay." Garnet said.

"I know, It's just that he's been in there for a pretty long time." Connie mentioned.

"Connie," she looked up, "these types of things take time. He'll be okay, I promise you." Garnet explained.

Connie started to feel better after hearing Garnet's explaination.

They then sat in silence, peacefully, watching the waves hit the cool sand. They couldn't sit there for long, they had to think of another battle strategy.

But they did anyway.
