Lula woke up with coughs, a runny nose, and the worst migraine she's ever had. But of course, Jack would always come to her rescue.

Lula was all wrapped up in her white blanket and had gone through three boxes of tissues. Her favorite TV show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., was playing on the laptop. She had a cup of warm herbal tea— Jack had read online that it would help with colds— one hand while the other was scrolling through the laptop, trying to find the next episode.

Jack was also being the most amazing man in the universe. He had put up with all the complaints from Lula— the air conditioner being a bit too cold, the wifi being so slow when Ross had just kissed Rachel, the tea was too hot— and Lula couldn't thank him enough for it. He brought her a fresh box of tissues everytime she was close to running out, and refilled her cup of tea when she finished drinking it.

When Lula was just starting season 4, Jack came in to the room. "How's my girl?," he said as he sat on the bed and pressing his hand on her forehead, checking her temperature. Lula just shrugged, and went back to her laptop.

"I have a surprise for you." Lula looked up to him smiling softly. He stretched out his hand and Lula took it. As he slowly helped her get up— her temperature went down a bit but she was still pretty sick— he picked her up and carried her bridal-style downstairs to the kitchen. Lula just wasn't strong enough to stand up on her own.

As they neared the kitchen, a yummy smell started wafting through and into Lula's nose. It was a familiar smell. "No way," Lula breathed out. "Could it be..?"

Jack set her down and Lula gaped at the dining table in awe. The whole table was all decorated. Jack had thrown a lovely lace tablecloth on it. On top was her favorite food to eat when she was sick; chicken stock soup with the little crackers on the side. How did he know this was her favorite?

"I had all the others go out & run all the errands they could think of so we could enjoy this together peacefully. Hopefully this would make you feel better than all those cups of tea did," Jack spoke as he pulled the chair out and helped her sit down. Once Lula was settled, Jack took his seat on the opposite of her.

Lula was still gaping in awe. Did he make this? How long did it take to make it?

She picked up her spoon and took the soup into her mouth. When the taste was spreading, she wanted to melt. It was the perfect taste. The chicken was cooked just right and. when she swallowed it, it warmed up her throat and her stomach along.

She took a sip of the herbal tea and felt like melting. The perfect temperature— not too piping, but still a bit hot— warmed her throat even more. It was the perfect thing to eat when her condition was like this.

In all this heavenly tasting, Lula completely forgot about Jack. But when she looked up, he seemed to be enjoying the food as much as she did. Looks like he didn't know he was this good at cooking either.

"How are you so good at cooking?"

"When I ran from home, I had to learn how to cook. I couldn't live off of McDonald's forever. So I went to the local internet cafe and looked up essential recipes for everyday life and jotted them down in my notebook. When I stayed at my aunt's house— I told her I was just visiting to check on my grandma— I was welcome to use to the kitchen as much as I would like to. So I guess that's how I got good," Jack explained as he took sip after sip of his water— he wasn't the one who's sick so he didn't need to drink that tea.

"Well, it tastes like heaven. Thank you so much, Jack." Lula grinned and continued to drink her yummy soup and sip her tea.

ATTENTION. THIS IS MY FIRST TWO PART STORY!!!!!!!

I had some ideas for this prompt but when I tried to write them together, it ended up being so long so I'm cutting it into two. The second part will be up when the first one is up, so you'll have the whole story at once :)

Also that whole "Jack learned to cook at his aunt's" story is completely made up. Nowhere in the movie or anywhere really states that Jack knows how to cook. It's just something I made to complete the hole on how he learned to cook.
