Down Under

Prologue: In our world

       Hello, my name is Alec Smith. My grandmother is Alice as in Lewis Carrol's Alice in wonderland. Everybody thinks that she is bonkers, and, even, she got herself thrown into an insane asylum. She is alway saying weird advice like turn your socks inside out when walking through a forest. Even though, herself is the one that talks to bugs claiming they're blue and talking to us. (I never truly believed her, but I find it interesting).

     Well back to myself, I'm 5'4 and have long blond hair for a guy. I have my grandmother's bluebell eyes. My father and I look nothing a like. He, who has jet black hair, and dark brown eyes. I'm told that I look sort of feminine, but I've learned to ignore that fact. I absolutely love reading, and the calming effect the sound of me playing my pan pipe.

We start off in the middle of June....

My day started off like any other, with my dad banging on my bedroom door telling me to get up. I look up at my calendar, it was Friday which meant that today my family and I were going to visit my grandmother. I rushed to get dressed putting on a pair of black slacks, a white collared shirt, and an old worn red sweater. I shoved my grandmother's hand carved pocket watch into my pocket and my small pan pipe.

I ran down stairs while running my hands through my hair to smooth it down. When I made it to the kitchen my mum and father already there waiting at the table. My father got stood up, and ran his hand through my hair messing it up. He said, "You fell back asleep after the first time I woke you? And now then you were rushing weren't you?" Au's note imagine that in a Scottish accent I don't want to offend anybody.

"Yes I was father, now let's go see grandma Alice now," and I urged them to the door. We left for the the Asylum for the mentally ill.

Little did I know that on that day everything was going to change for better or worse... I still can't tell.
