“Yeah, my mom and dad have to work extra and of course Emily isn’t available.” I smiled. “And plus your mom hasn’t seen Chris in about three days. I bet she misses him.” I said hugging Justin around his waist.

“When does Chris go back to school again?”

“Two weeks. I can’t believe my baby will be starting kindergarten.” I said.

“Our little boy is growing up. He’s gonna be a ladies man like his father.” Justin smiled cockily.

“Let’s hope not.” I chuckled.

“I’m ready mommy!” Chris yelled coming down the stairs with his backpack in hand.

“What you taking to grandma Pattie’s little man?” Justin asked.

“My coloring book and crayons.” He smiled.

“Baylor!” I yelled.

Our dog came running and I opened the back door for him so he could be outside while we’re gone. Even though I love our dog Baylor to death, leaving him alone in the house will always be a bad idea.

I did a mistake leaving him alone in the house—even for ten minutes—and I found a pair of my underwear in his mouth. I literally had to wrestle the dog for it back, but in the end he won because it was shredded to pieces.

I shut the back door and locked it and Justin picked up our son and we all walked outside. Justin put Chris in the backseat of my car, in his car seat and buckled him up and then shut the back door.

“So I’ll try to leave work around two so I can be on time to your ultra-sound.” Justin smiled.

“Okay.” I smiled in return. We gave each other a kiss and I got into my car buckling up and turning on the ignition. “Have a good day at work!” I yelled out the car window.

“You too babe! And Chris you be good for Grandma!” Justin yelled back.

“I will daddy! Love you!” Chris yelled back.

“Love you too! Love you Sel!” He smiled.

“Love you too Jay.” I smiled.

Justin got into his truck and I backed out the drive way and drove the twenty five minute drive to Pattie’s house. I finally pulled up in her drive way and waddled out my car getting Chris out of his car seat.

He ran up to the door and rung the door bell until Pattie opened the door.

“Well hello to you too Chris.” Pattie smiled picking up her grandson. “Hey Selena. How are you feeling?” She asked motioning for me to come in.

“I’m okay, thank you Pattie.” I smiled walking inside.

“Selena!” Two nine year olds yelled coming down the stairs.

“Hey Jazzy, hey Jaxon.” I smiled. Both gave me a hug before they took Chris from Pattie and took him upstairs to play.

“Has the baby been kicking?” Pattie asked once we took a seat in her living room.

“Like crazy. It’s like she never sleeps.” I chuckled.

“She?” Pattie asked raising a brow. “I thought you wouldn’t know the sex of the baby until later this afternoon?”

“Well your son and grandson both say it’s a little girl. They keep arguing it’s a ‘fathers’ and ‘brothers’ intuition.” I chuckled.

“Well you can defiantly tell they are related.” Pattie laughed.
