CHAPTER - THREE

- Katniss pov -

After school I walk to Gales house which is around a block from the school, he opens the door and looks at me with big eyes...

"Gale we need to talk," I said, as he walks out of the house and shuts the door behind him.

"I have a new friend his name is Peeta and you were kind of being mean to him, you also made him feel bad."
I said, with a wonder of why he would do this...

"Well, I like you actually... I love you Catnip do you like me back?"
He asked, with hopeful eyes.

What does he like me? He is to of a brother to me to date.

"I'm so sorry Gale I don't like you that way, you're like a brother to me, it would be awkward," I said, truthfully.

"Well I'm sorry Catnip but you have to go out with me or you will be forced to the hard way." He said, in a scary voice that caused me to get goosebumps.

"Gale I said no, now I got to get home my mom said she needed me. " I said, running home.

I thought he was my best friend, we have known each other so long, he has never done that before. What did he mean by the hard way? I question in my head right when I walk through the door. When I get home my mom is sitting on the couch, she already looks 3 months pregnant yet it has been a month and a have no idea what's going on. Why did she have to marry Bob?

She tells me to sit so I do, then the next thing she says shocks me...

"I'm pregnant with............

Triplets!"

She says happily, what triplets no no no.

I try to say something but nothing comes out so I then go to my room and do my homework and go bed.

This day was crazy and I lost my best friend but made a new one.

What will happen next? I hope Marvel will leave me alone, I hope I don't find out what Gale meant, and I really really really hope that I and Peeta can become better friends.

I really like him, I wonder if he likes me back?

- Peeta pov -

I really like Katniss, her chocolate colored hair, and Piercing gray eyes. She is so beautiful. I hope she likes me back, but who am I kidding she could fall for any other guy and she chose me? NEVER!

I'm the baker's boy and my mom beats me. No one will ever like me! And that is just a fact that I have to face all my life.

- Katniss pov -

I walk into a school and go to my locker I turn the corner, and see Gale... Standing right there leaning on it.

I got to my locker, trying to open it but he closes it.

"Gale I'm going to be late to class!" I said, annoyed. Ugh!

"Catnip I need to talk to you." He said with no emotion...

"Well, I don't!" I said, harshly and with that, I leave

I get to class and sit down next to Peeta he smiles, this is going to be a long day but with Peeta, he can cheer me up, I hope...

I go to my locker, After I open it a note falls I pick it up and read...

Dear Katniss,

Meet me at school, I need to talk to you? I hope you will come, we have only been friends for about a week now! I hope you trust me enough? I trust you...

P's come alone...

I get my stuff and walk to the school, what could Peeta want to talk about?

I get behind the school and see him, he looks so cute even cuter then be was last time. He looks up and smiles, nervously...

Then he says the things the shocks me. "I love being friends with you but I kind of like you so would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asked, not meeting my eyes.

I don't answer I just crash my lips on his. It take just a second for him to kiss back this is it I have the best boyfriend.

"YES!" I said after we pull away "I liked you the whole time I just didn't want to tell you because I was too scared to." I admit to him, as he smiles and asks if he can kiss me, I nod my head.

He kissed me right there, and with so much passion. He pulls away and smiles and takes my hand and walks me home.
