Central City. It's stuck up citizens considered Metropolis and Gotham the wild lands, ever since Superman and Batman showed up. Very few people thought that the God and the Knight were actually helpful. One of which was Barry Allen, a 25 year old boy who was too smart for anyone and had one big secret.

Barry was 6'3" with black curly hair that was so insane he had completely given up on combing it. He had dark eyes, pale skin, and a childish personality. He only had one friend. She helped him a lot with all his...well let's just say 'problems.'

"It's already 12:00...oh man Kara's gonna kill me and this station smells like someone barfed in a men's locker room." Barry looked hopelessly at the station's schedule board, but the digital part was freaking out.

"Something must be wrong," a confused woman said. The stress was showing in her voice while the commotion of angry and frustrated people behind them began to rise, due to the malfunctioning board.

Not very far from Barry was Iris West, a reporter for the Daily Read. She was about 10 to 12 minutes late for work and she had left an hour earlier than usual. Now because of the broken board, she wouldn't be able to turn in her article to her editor. She glanced down at her folder. The night before she stayed up till midnight editing her report on another fight at Wall-street.

"But it took so long," she sighed. "I'm so fired."

Barry started to get suspicious. He looked down at his suitcase, all it had was a suit and motorcycle helmet. 'I finally might be able to use my abilities!' he thought.

Iris started to feel claustrophobic when a man in an old torn up brown jacket and a long beard, stepped up beside her. He smelled of the streets, and his clothes were heavily stained. His presence creeped her out. Suddenly out of the blue the man grabbed her folder and disappeared in the crowd.

"What h-hey why would you need that!?" Her voice got softer with every word as she gave up on negotiating. With another sigh she took off her high heels and ran after the thief. People parted for the man, then realized what was going on when Iris ran by. She weaved her way through the crowd, sometimes pushing others out of her way.

The crowed started splitting in two while Barry blindly moved his suitcase right in the path of the two people, oblivious to what was happening. He never noticed the man running past him. After he moved he looked behind him to try and see who she was chasing. Never looking back, he was waiting for her to pass him but she didn't. She ran into his suitcase with a loud thud, tumbling over it. Barry whipped his head around, hair getting caught in his eyes before he saw Ires on the floor. She stood up quickly and gave Barry's suitcase a hard kick before chasing after the man that was long gone.

"SORRY!" Barry yelled. His cheeks burned as blood rushed to his face. He had never been so embarrassed in his whole life. He rolled his clunky suitcase around and up the stairs to the open air. A sigh of relief came out of him, and he kept on walking to the closest ally way. He went between a bakery called Melody's Cupcake Shop and a Shoe Carnival store to change from a t-shirt that had a picture of Sherlock Holmes on it and some simple jeans to a metal suit he 'borrowed' from his good friends at NASA, along with his helmet.

All ready and suited up he took a few steps back facing the side of Shoe Carnival, sprinting as fast as he could up the side of the building. Once on the roof he kept sprinting and jumping over the alleyways, searching for the pretty girl and the thief, but his heart skipped a beat when his foot couldn't find the ground. He tumbled to the side walk, twisting his body and slamming into the pavement. He popped up holding onto his arm "Ow, ow, ow!" he repeated the same thing over and over again as he walked over to the thief, and grabbed the folder from him. "Wait where is she?" Barry looked over the crowed of people with their eyes slowly moving toward him 'Oh yeah, they see a bunch of lightning around me I forgot," he thought as he moved through the crowd, searching for the girl. Moving through the people like a leaf in the wind careful not to touch anyone, he stumbled stumbling into a small open spot around the girl he had accidentally tripped in the subway. Even though her face was covered in sweat and her hair was messed up he still thought she was pretty.

He moved her arms so that they were holding the folder then ran off still holding his arm 'What am I going to tell Kara? She told me not to help people my way,' he thought in disappointment as he ran behind an old green dumpster peeking out the side wondering what would happen. The world came back to normal and Barry smiled when the girl stood dumbfounded with her folder in her hands.

Iris felt weird, like she had been shocked. She looked around to see a crowd of people surrounding her.

"Did you see that!?" a woman asked.

"There was lighting on the ground!" another man exclaimed.

Suddenly a cop car rolled up to the commotion. Officer Joe West stepped out of the car and headed for the crowd. He pushed through the people only to find his daughter in the center of attention. "What's going on?"

Barry's smile faded.
