Disorders are nothing to joke about, and in stories, it can make your character more interesting if they have "issues", but some people aim for the stars, and by aim, I mean completely miss the solar system.
An example of this is when the main character is so beautiful she makes everyone fall in love with her, but for some odd reason, she can't fathom why. She repeatedly calls herself fat and mocks her appearance, but then again everyone seems to think she is stunning. Like can you not??
Another problem is when your character supposedly has mental illnesses, but the writer obviously knows nothing about that illness. Hello, you have Google, at least gain information in the disorder before writing about it. To you it may seem okay, but to others who actually have a certain illness, it pisses them off to no extent.
