Shawn, 8:54am.

I was sleeping peacefully with my arms wrapped around my girl until a loud vibration woke me up. I looked at my phone on my night stand to see a number I didn't recognize. I slid out of bed and took my phone downstairs.

"Hello?" I said trying not to sound like I just woke up.

"Hello, is this Shawn Carter?" A male voice asked.

"Yes, can I ask who's calling?"

"This is Jim, of Sherae Enterprises, I was calling to inform you that you got the job."

"Wow, thank you! That's amazing." I said as a did a little happy dance.

"I need you to report here tomorrow morning promptly at 7:30."

"Yes sir I'll be there. In business casual attire correct?"

"Yes."

"Okay, thank you again."

"No problem, see you tomorrow." He said and hung up.

"YUP!" I screamed loud and ran back upstairs. "Bey-Beyoncé! Bey-Bey-Beyonce!" I sang like a cheer while doing my own step.

"What the-fuck, what the fuck do you want?" She sang back and I laughed.

"To tell you good news."

"Is it food related?"

"No... It's job related."

She gasped and sat up. "You got it?!"

"Yes."

"Oh my gosh! That's great!" She got up and hugged me. "We have to go shopping!"

"Hey, now."

"Shut up, we're going shopping." She kissed my lips. "I'm getting in the shower... Feel free to join me." She winked.

After I brutally assaulted those guts, we got dressed and left.

We're at the mall, and I'm scrolling on my phone while Bey picks out stuff she likes. She gives it to me for me to try on, then she tells me if she likes it or not.

I feel like I'm school shopping with my mom.

"Shawn, do you like this tie?" She asked me. It was solid navy blue.

I nodded. "Yeah, you know that's me favorite color."

She nodded and threw it in the cart.

After another hour of this, we finally left.

"You hungry?" She asked.

"Yeah but, I'm supposed to be treating you."

"Why?"

"Because I just got a new job."

"So."

"Bey..."

"Jay..."

I just looked at her.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes and handed me the keys.
