Pregnant With The Nerds Baby

I head home after hanging out with Maria, I'm quite shocked she's pregnant.

I know how hard it can be finding out you're pregnant,So I'm going to do everything I can to help her. I kind of want to tell Miranda since I think it'll lift her spirit about everything, but it's really not my place to tell.

I walk into the house and everyone's home now.

"Hey" My dad says as i enter the living room

"Hi"

"How are you?"

He been asking me this nonstop ever since everything happened.

"I'm fine, dad."

I sit on the couch beside him.

My dad's been really worried about me, I'm fine really. I'm still upset about it, and can't believe it actually happened but I'm okay.

"Ethans here." My dad says

"Oh, really?" I ask not knowing what to say

I walk into the kitchen with Ayden and see Zack and Ethan talking.

I sit Ayden in his high chair.

"Nice to see you, Ashley." Ethan says to me and hugs me

"Uh, you too." I say caught off guard

"Hey, babe." Zack says and gives me a quick kiss on the lips

I start to feed Ayden, feeling uncomfortable that I'm intruding on their conversation.

"I'm sorry, I'll go. I didn't mean to interpret." I say and stand to leave

"No, don't go." Zack says "Ethans just telling me about how he's writing a book."

"A book? About what?" I ask curious

"Um, I don't want to discuss details just yet. It's still a work in progress. " He says

"Oh, okay"

Don't see the big deal in him just saying what it's about, but I'm not really worried about it.

"Mom found a place." Zack says breaking the silence

"Where at?" Ethan asks

"Downtown, its a really nice 2 bedroom apartment."

"Are you and Mary moving back in with her?" Ethan asks Zack

I glance up at Zack, we really haven't discussed him moving back in with his mom.

He's 18, so he can do what he wants. I just don't want him to, I like having him here everyday.

"Mary is, but I don't know about me just yet. I've actually been looking for places for me and Ashley. " Zack says surprising me

I never thought about living with Zack alone, I always knew we would but I didn't think it would be anytime soon.

"You guys are going to move in with each other so soon?" Ethan asks us both

"It's not soon, our sons 7 months old." I say

"Yeah, but Zack wasn't around for most of that time. You guys still don't know a lot about each other." Ethan says with a laugh

"We've lived together here for a long time. So it wouldn't be anything new." I say getting annoyed

"Who would help with Ayden?"

"I don't need help with my own kid"

"Ethan it's not as big of a deal as your making it out to be." Zack finally says

"Yes it is, you guys as are way to young for that." He says with a shake of his head

"We have a kid, I don't think moving on our own is a big deal" Zack says

"Whatever you guys say. I hope it works out for you two then." Ethan sighs

After that I walk out of the kitchen with Ayden. I hate when people try to tell us how to live our lives. I'm basically an adult. I've been taking care of a baby mostly on my own for 7 months, I would say I'm pretty grown.

I lay Ayden down in his crib.

It would be amazing to live alone just the three of us, our little family.

We can afford it since Zack's saved all his money from his job and I've saved all my money ever since I found out I was pregnant.

I don't know if my dad will let me move out just yet, but once me and Zack talk about it more I'll tell my dad.

"Ethan just left." Zack says as enters Ayden's room

"Oh." Is all I say

"I'm sorry if he got to you. He just speaks his mind."

"It's fine, he didn't. I just don't see the big deal in us moving in together. Ayden will be a year old soon. It's not like this is new." I say referring to me and Zack

We've  known each other for over a year and Zacks already been living with me for half that time.

"If we move out it has nothing to do with Ethan, just me, you and Ayden. No one else matters." He says and holds me close to him

This is why I love him, he always makes everything better.

It's sounds so exciting to move in with Zack.

It might help with Maria also since I have a feeling her mom is going to kick her out, She can take over my room.

"I know it's not my place to say anything, but Marias pregnant." I say to Zack needing to get that off my chest

"Oh, wow. Is it Dylan's?" He asks

I sigh "Unfortunately."

"What's she going to do?"

"She wants to keep the baby, but I don't think her mom wants her too. I told her i would help her as much as I can."

"She's going to need the help since he's in jail." Zack says

"I know."

I don't really want to talk about Maria anymore. It's weighing heavy on my shoulders since I feel so guilty about it.

"Have you really been looking for places for us to live?" I ask

"Yes, I know I should have asked you first but I didn't think you would want to live with your dad forever." He says

"It's fine, I'm actually glad. We should go look at some. I would love to move in with you."

I press my lips to his and hug him tight.

We can do this.
