Emma's Survival Guide for Every Middle Schooler

Guide Entry #4

September 20:

    So today my backpack was SO HEAVY since it was full of schoolwork and textbooks. (THANKS TEACHERS)

   So, I just left my backpack in my locker and in every class I put my stuff back in my locker and take out my stuff for the class I'm having.

   It was first period and I had gym. So, I didn't need my backpack.

   I headed to the Girls' Gymnasium for p.e class.

   Today we were playing soccer. I'm not really "successful" at soccer, but I don't suck.

   So, I gave it a shot and played. I played as goalie because I'm not really a good player on the field. (At soccer)

  Anyways, today went very well. Surprisingly, Maddie was NICE TO ME.

    I was worried because she's NEVER nice to me.

    She's probably planned to do something horrible to me.

    So, second period I had social studies.

    I went to my locker to get my social studies work and headed to class.

    When I got there, I saw this boy. He was SO CUTE.

    He had light brown hair and golden eyes.

   He had such a dreamy face. His name was Matthew.

    Then, I figured out he was MADDIE'S BROTHER.

   His name was Matthew Hill.

    We could make it work but then Maddie would get in the way.

    So, I literally stopped liking him in less than I minute.

   I can get over a boy real quick.

    But honestly, who knows maybe he isn't like his sister and Maddie probably won't get in the way.

     I don't really know. But all I know is that that boy is pretty cute.

     He basically distracted me throughout the whole s.s class.

    He's actually very sweet and kind. He smiles a lot and helps out animals at animal shelters.

    He volunteers for a lot of community events.

    He's totally WAY different than Maddie. He's Maddie's opposite.

   I gazed at him and he also gazed at me. Our eyes connected.

   We both smiled and said hi.

      I felt as I was daydreaming but nope. It was all a reality.

     I was falling for him.

    Today was AMAZING.

• ALWAYS be careful when crushing on your nemesis's sibling
• WATCH OUT whenever your nemesis is being nice to you.
