Chapter Twenty Four:

"Y-yeah." She nodded and finally took his arm.

The party went on in a blur. And Raine was glad for that. Ilang beses na din siya nagpalakad-lakad sa party hall. Iniikutan niya lahat. And now, nagpahinga muna siya sa table ng barkada. Wala si Ranz sa table, kasama niya kasi ang pamilya niya. Siguro inutos yun ng lolo nito, maybe iniiwasan din nila ang mga issues.

"Sakit ng paa ko." reklamo niya.

"Heiress eh." Owy joked.

"Tse!" Raine rolled her eyes.

"Yung prince charming mo, di ata nakabuntot sayo?" - Oliver laughed.

He's talking about Rojee. Buti nga di nakasunod eh. Last time she saw him, may mga kausap siyang big time investors.

"Knight in shining armor, asan?" Keciee interjected.

"Family's table." Raine shrugged. "Renz Candelaria, oh." Turo niya sa bandang likuran nina Owy and Mauie.

She noticed Ully's arm tighted around Unice's waist. "Ay sauce! Tamis!!" she teased.

"Shut up." Unice rolled her eyes.

Renz approached their table with Van and Jude following close behind. "Unice,"

Renz smiled. Everyone raised their eye brows.

He seems cool.

"Walang bitterness?" She wasn't suppose to say that out loud, but Keciee did.

Agad naman siyang siniko ni Mauie, "Ano ka ba?" she whispered.

But Renz only laughed. "Why would there be? They're engaged. Congrats."

He held out his hand. Kahit na a-awkwardan si Ully, he did not reject it.

"Excuse us." Van smiled.

And with that, umalis na sila.

"Awkward." Biglang sabi ni Biboy.

"Tara, dance?" Yaya ni Ully.

"Let's do this!!" sigaw ng lahat. At kanya kanya na ng partner.

Ully and Unice, Mauie and Owy, Oliver and Keciee, tapos Biboy and Addie?

Raine raised her eyebrow, but then she got her answer.

"Isasayaw ko muna pinsan ko ah?" Sabi ni Clarence.

Everyone nodded except for Raine. "Leave me alone. Sakit ng paa ko eh!"

"Arte, tayo na!" Clarence dragged her to the middle of the dance floor kung saan marami pa din ang nag sasayaw.

"Mas magaling pa din akong sumayaw sa Prince charming mo." Clarence began.

"Yabang mo." Raine laughed. "Ang Prince charming, may princess. But I'm not a princess, so yeah."

"Totoo naman ah." Clarence laughed with her. "He had always treated you as a Queen." he agreed.

"What?"

But before he could answer, a familiar song started playing.

A song Raine knew by heart.

Their song.

Gravity by Sara Bareilles was playing.

"That's my cue." Clarence winked at her, then he was already walking away from her.

The lights dimmed.

What the hell is happening? 

But before she could even take a breath, she felt a hand on her waist.
