My alarm went off. It was finally time to go back to school after 2 days old from the "Extremely Hot Weather Conditions".
I got out of bed and went down to the kitchen.
"Why do we have to go to school?" I said to Luke as he poured a glass of water.
"Law says I can drop out at 16,"
"Mom would never let you after the plate incident,"
"Oh right, thanks for the glue...you were kind of late though."
This is it. This was where I was going to tell Luke that Calum kissed me. But I couldn't.
"Yeah..Um there was a long line," I lied.
"Oh,"

8:00am
"And that concludes why George Washington is so important to the U.S." Mr. Carlyle said.
"He don't even live in America, so why does this matter?" A kid named Steven yelled out.
"Because, Steven,"
History class sucked. I hated every bit of it.
Why would we have to learn about George Washington? My thoughts were interrupted by the bell.
"Next time we'll talk about our history!" Mr. Carlyle overly-exclaimed.
As we all poured out of the classroom, I was stopped by Calum.
"Why are you in the 8th grade hall?" I asked him since he was in the 9th grade.
"Why didn't you text me back?" He said with his hand on my shoulder.
I walked away from him towards the stairway
"Ella, I'm sorry if I went to fast."
"Too fast," I said as he followed behind me, struggling to keep up with my pace.
"It's not fair to me, Calum. I was caught off guard, you went to fast and it's too much pressure for me to even answer."
"And that's why I apologized!" He said lifting his voice.
"No, you just don't want me to never talk to you again,"
Let's be real here. It was totally unfair for Calum to do that to me.
"I have to go to class," I said turning around
"Okay, but just text me back. Please," he said staring at me.
"Maybe," I said starting to walk back up the stairs.
He walked back down to the 9th grade hallway as I walked to my next class.
The whole time, all i could think about was him.
As soon as school ended, I ran home.
"Why?" I heard Luke saying from the kitchen
"Why what?"
"I found the note, don't lie to me,"
My heart dropped.
"What note?" I asked dropping my backpack.
"Calum's,"
"How did you get that?" I asked nervously
"Mum asked me to take out the trash, and i found it, what does it mean?"
"Nothing, he accidentally hurt me, that's all."
I couldn't have told him the truth.
"Right. And I'm supposed to believe that?"
"Yeah...." I felt my palms becoming sweaty.
"Once Calum answers my text we will see," Luke said brushing the top of the counter as he jumped on.
"It's nothing to you," I said walking over to the table to get an apple.
"My best friend and my sister," he setting biting into his granola bar.
"Whatever," I said as I made my way upstairs.

Would Calum ever do that?
Would he tell Luke?
Is Luke gonna be mad?

I thought for about an hour thinking about all the scenarios that could possibly go down.
I picked up my phone and texted Calum

'Don't say anything'
Typing....
'Why not?'
'Because'

He never answered me. I was worried. I decided to take a nap for a while.
I couldn't sleep.
