Your POV
I ran to catch up with my new partner, Captain Levi Ackerman, and from vibe I get from everyone as well as him, he doesn't seem all that friendly that Mikasa lead him out to be. I hopped into his patrol car's passenger seat and buckled up. He started the car and drove out of the lot.

"So why are you here?" He asked somewhat out of the blue.

"I've wanted to be an officer for a while." I answered.

"Tch, that didn't answer my question idiot." He growled. "I asked you why you're here, not that you've wanted to be an officer. Tell me why."

"Well..." My voice trailed off. I never really liked talking about why I wanted to be a policeman. It was a little personal.

"I'm waiting." He commented rather rudely.

"I don't want to talk about it sir." I replied. My tone was flat.

"Why not?" He sounded like a child when a parent told them not to do something.

"It's personal sir."

"Alright." He continued driving and patrolling the city. It was quiet, not much of anything going on.

"Captain Ackerman, come in. Over." The radio started. Levi grabbed the transceiver and put it to his mouth.

"Yeah?"

"We have a 10-39 hostage situation in need of your assistance."

"Where at?"

"The US bank on eighth."

"10-4." He clipped the transmitter back into its hold and turned on his siren and lights. Cars pulled over as much as they could on the thin streets and let Levi fly by to the bank.

"This will be your first hostage situation." He spoke the obvious. I kept my mouth shut. I can be a smart ass from time to time, but in this situation, I should just shut up. "Pay attention very closely. Let me handle all the talking, got it?"

"Yes sir." I answered. Within minutes, we pulled up to the bank and found tons of other police and SWAT cars. Levi and I got out and headed to the communication van where we could talk with the captor.

"What's the situation?" Levi promptly asked.

"We have twelve hostages, three of which are children, and two captors. They both are armed with hand guns and knives. We haven't been able to get any information on the firearms yet." An officer informed us.

"Have we had any contact? Any demands?"

"Not yet. They've been rather silent."

"Strange. Okay. Let's try and get contact with any of the captors and see what they want." The team inside the van immediately began working. Levi walked past me and reached for a phone attached to the inside of the van. He looked at me after he grabbed the phone.

"You got your gun?" He asked coldly.

"Yeah." I reached down my belt and made sure I had my 9mm strapped to it in its holster. It was there.

"Good. If they don't submit and come out peacefully, we're going to have to go in." He looked around the van to the leader of the team. "Do we have call?"

"Incoming sir." Someone informed him. Levi instantly answered the call.

"Hello?"

"This is the police, right?" A shaky and terrified voice asked. The person sounded stressed.

"Yeah. Who is this?"

"It doesn't matter. I-I don't know what I'm doing."

"Okay. Are you holding people hostage in there?"
