Megan's POV:

"You can leave, you know?"

I feel a shake on my arm and some tugging, someone attempting to wake me. I open my eyes slightly and the bright room blinds me for a few moments and I get helped up to my feet by tough hand holding mine.

My sight adjusts and I look at my father standing in front of me, telling me I can leave him. Being just awakened, my judgment is cloudy and still asleep but I sort out my mind and I walk to the door, and I leave the old abandoned looking structure behind my back, And I do not turn around. I walk. And, I walk some more, down the dusty gray road, until my legs are creaking like haunted wood flooring. As I get further down, the street names become closer and closer to seeming familiar. That would mean either, I'm getting closer to Liam, or my brain has finally woken up.

The dirt fades into a paved street, and my first left is onto a street named McEwen. My memories fly through my mind of that street sign, as I was brought to Harry's from the orphanage. It was the main street in his town.

I follow it, as the scattered buildings along it, become small groups and then forming what looks like have reached the city.

I freeze, as I turn to a news stand and see my face plastered under the word 'LOST'. How long have I been gone?

I turn to the man shouting to the passersby about town gossip.

"That's me...." I stutter and point to the section of the paper I'm on.

He does not reply to me just stands, eyes wide and calls the number on the page.

"I found her." The only three words he says before sitting the phone back down, not letting me leave his sight.

I sit on the bench awkwardly as I get stares from other civilians matching my face to the picture with gasps. After about 10 minutes of extremely horrid boredom, I recognize the car that pulls up next to the cracked side walks. It's Liam's.

He runs around to the other side and lifts me off my cold, metal bench and hugs me, not letting go for quite a while. He kisses my cheek gently and sneaks in a whisper.

"I know."

He pulls my to the passenger seat, opens my door, and buckles me in. Then travels to the driver's seat and does the same for himself. Then we start the drive home in complete silence. But, about half through, the words in our minds start forming a conversation.

"Why?"

"I needed to know..."

"Know what?!"

"I don't know...."

His expression dropped.

"Megan, I just want you to be safe. I don't want that man near you, he could have killed you!"

"Liam, It's not like that! Let me explain....."

"You only have the rest of the drive so start explaining."

"I went to him because I wanted to know why he did all those things like coming to our door, and watching me at the park." I start with an almost half smile, "He was trying to be the father to my brother, that he wasn't to me. He wanted to fix things. It can't be simply done, but I don't want to hate the man forever.... He's the reason I'm alive. And he let me go...."

My last word breathes as we pull into the driveway. We don't get out, we just sit. We don't react as the other boys try to hug me. We just sit.

"I'm sorry Megan..." He finally says and we begin to unbuckle our seat belt and leave the car.

"Megan, Wh-wh-why?!" Harry hugs me and sobs quietly, obviously trying to not cry, but failing horribly. He couldn't finish his sentence but I know what he's asking.

"My dad wanted to fix things between us. I wanted to give him a chance. I know that things between us can't be perfect, but he is my family. Family has no limit of second chances. No matter how bad they mess up, you cant change the fact that you're related. You just need to move on from everything that has happened and try to make the pieces fit. Ours never will but I need to try, for my brother."

"Brother?"

"Yes, Harry. My brother, Jack. He was no bigger than a newborn when we were sent away from my father. He is really trying to be a good dad to him, I need to let him patch things up with Jack, but things can't work for me and him, but I need to be in Jack's life because he is my brother, and I love him."

He  nods to me in understanding, or is he faking? Anyways, I give him one last squeeze and let go, he doesn't leave the hug, still gripping my waist tightly, crying into my shoulder. I rub his back for a few seconds and he finally lets go.

"Just... Please don't leave like that again...."

"I won't, Haz. I promise, Okay?"

"Okay"
