Meant to be

Chapter 2
The audition.
I opened the door and walked inside.
There was a lady in the front sitting behind a desk with stacks of paper.
"Name?!" She asked me abruptly.
"Kaylee Lynn" I said confidently.
The lady handed me a couple papers then told me to take a seat by the other girls.
I walked inside the waiting room to see girls wearing fancy sparkly dresses and high heals. They had their hair perfectly curled and bows in their hair.
I decided to sit towards the back that way I wouldn't have to listen to those bratty girls.
I read the papers front to back. I was trying out for the role of Payton. She was a 14 year old girl who they found alone in the woods. Payton was Carl Grimes best friend and was really happy and talkative.
I went over the lines quickly trying my best to memorize them. After about an hour or two went by. I was one if the last ones to be called.
"Kaylee?" Said a lady at the end of a big hallway.
"Good luck kiddo!" Shelly said smiling at me.
I follow the lady into a back room. It was very standard. There was a video camera and they had me answer so standard questions then had me read a couple lines.
By the time I was finished the lady who had brought me in and another man were smiling from ear to ear.
"Thanks so much for coming Kaylee. You've been one of the best all day. Expect a call sometime tomorrow." The man said smiling.
"Thanks so much for having me! Bye!" I said trying to contain my hyper ness until we got outside.
Once I walked out of the room I ran out to Shelly. I told her what they said and she was super happy for me.
"Come on! Milkshakes on me!" Shelly said pulling up to a Carls Jr.
I got a straw berry milkshake and Shelly got a vanilla.
The whole entire car ride home I was staring at my phone waiting for the call.
"Kay calm down you probably won't get a call until tomorrow." She said.
I gave her the 'they expect me to wait that long' look and she went back to focusing on the road.
Suddenly an unhappy thought popped into my head. We live 2-3 hours away from where they film.. If I get the part id have to move.. Move schools.. Make new friends.. A new house...
For the first time I started questioning if I want that call or not.
