Hide and Seek

Coded Commands

"Area C 529," came a voice. It hadn't come from either man, and certainly Jeremy hadn't spoke.

"Area C 529," it came again, the robotic voice was loud and clear. Jamie closed her eyes willing for it to shut up. Obviously this thing was spewing the information they needed, but now was definitely not the time.

"Area C 529," this time the two men noticed and looked toward the talking clone.

"Dr. Hunt?" the younger man asked the other man who was apparently Dr. Hunt.

"Dr. Hunt?" he asked again in a tone that seemed to say 'what should we do'? Instead of answering, Dr. Hunt just walked forward toward Jeremy and stopped about a foot away from him.

"Who gave you the authority to fool around with my equipment?" Dr. Hunt asked Jeremy emphasizing the 'my'.

"Uh...um...nobody sir," Jeremy sputtered. Yes, he looked like a seeker, but this was THE Dr. Hunt we're talking about. You never knew what he was going to do.

"Then why are you fooling around with my equipment?" He spoke to Jeremy once again emphasizing the 'my' in the question. Before Jeremy could answer he turned to Jamie.

"And YOU!" he raised his voice at Jamie, she guessed because she was a player and wasn't disguised as a seeker.

"As soon as I'm through punishing my employee you will be going straight to degeneration!" Jamie blinked back tears. She'd been through so much in these past couple of weeks, and now she was going to lose to her worst enemy. Of all people he should be the one to be exterminated.

Of course!

"EXTERMINATE!" Jamie shouted pointing her finger at the horrible man in front of her. She had shouted so loudly that it had taken Dr. Hunt and second to recognize what had happened, but fortunately it took less time for the clone to take hold of the command. With a swift move it grew to a killing machine that could hopefully win this battle for them.

"Oh no you don't!" the younger man stated as he ran to activate another clone. Before he could barely make it a step Jamie shouted the command again while pointing at him. Luckily the clone reacted just in time to swing a machine gunned arm at the man knocking him off of his feet.

As he lay there groaning in pain the clone turned to its next victim, Dr. Hunt. He attempted to make a run for the door but a blow to the head from the metal arm knocked him out cold. As soon as it was clear that he was down the clone turned to the other man and gave him a hard punch to the back of the head as well.

Jamie and Jeremy stood there for a few seconds staring at each other, still tingling from the adrenaline rush they'd both just had.

"Did that really just happen?" Jeremy said while pointing at the two men on the ground. Neither of them were dead since both of their chests were rising and falling.

Jamie didn't even respond, and instead shrugged.

"Area C 529," the machine stated now out of attack mode. The statement brought her back to the task at hand.

"Well, we should probably go before they wake up," she said starting for the door.

"Wait!" Jeremy shouted causing her to look back.

"What is it?" she really wanted to leave before the two men woke up.

"We should take it with us," Jeremy said. Jamie smiled, glad to see that they would have another source of protection with them.

"Good idea," she said. Jeremy took a few seconds to type in a command. When she had asked him what he typed he said that he basically entered a code to put the robot on autopilot to Area C 529.

"Good to go!" he said once the hatch was closed. Almost immediately the clone began walking in the direction of their destination.

"Let's go save Tiffany," she said before taking one last look at the hundreds of clones surrounding them. She then ran out the door happy to have a new plan in process. She was going to save Tiffany, whether Dr. Hunt liked it or not.

Hey guys!!!! So I updated on a Wednesday! Unusual huh? Well, I've got a reason and it's a good one! So I'm going away for the weekend which is when I usually update, but I can't because I won't have my laptop with me and I don't think there's wifi where I'm going unless I pay for it. I know I said I would update Friday, but literally right after I updated my status to say that I remembered that I was leaving Friday afternoon! Originally I was going to wait till when I got back to update, but I had free time and didn't want to keep you guys waiting another week. SO, I will not be updating this weekend because it's pretty much impossible for me to do so, but I took a lot of time to write this extra good chapter to make up for it!

Also, this is my last week of marching band for the season so I will have MUCH more time to update than before and will hopefully be able to go back to my regular weekly updating schedule.

Ok, I really hope you enjoy this chapter because I worked SUPER hard on this!
